  • Patent number: 7197397
Abstract: An evaluation apparatus (environmental measures evaluation apparatus) of an evaluation system (environmental measures evaluation system) obtains data representing environmental measures carried out by users from user terminals via a network. The evaluation apparatus obtains score corresponding to the contents of the environmental measures from a research item DB, then calculates total scores category by category. The evaluation apparatus specifies level of each category based on the calculated total scores and progress level decision data stored in a progress level DB. The evaluation apparatus obtains advisory information corresponding to the specified level from an advisory information DB, and transmits data including the advisory information and specified level to the user terminal via the network.

  • Publication number: 20050242324
Abstract: The present invention is intended to raise the data density during the process which comprises irradiating a thin film of a polymer compound containing an azobenzene structure with light to form an unevenness pattern on the surface thereof, whereby data are recorded. When a thin azobenzene polymer film is irradiated with a linearly polarized circular laser beam or an ellipsoidal (or rectangular) laser beam having a band of light and darkness, a surface relief pattern characterized by portions by a number of k and raised portions by a number of (k+1) arranged alternately in a straight light is obtained. By making the use of the anisotropy of this pattern, a new data recording/reproducing method can be realized.

  • Patent number: 6537711
Abstract: There is disclosed a reversible recording material having a liquid crystal mixture comprising at least two cholesteric liquid crystal compounds. The cholesteric liquid crystal compounds which are contained in the reversible recording material has a molecular weight of less than 2000 and a grass transition temperature equal to or more than 30° C. The two cholesteric liquid crystal compounds are compatible each other. After at least a part of the reversible recording material is heated to a temperature where the part of the reversible recording material becomes a cholesteric liquid crystal phase, the part of the reversible recording material is rapidly cooled down to below the glass transition temperature thereof, so that a reflecting color from the reversible recording material can be fixed to achieve a recording.

  • Publication number: 20020034693
Abstract: Disclosed is an improvement in an optical information recording method by utilizing a unique phenomenon in which, when a thin film of a polymeric compound having a structure of azobenzene is irradiated spotwise with a light beam of a specified wavelength, a pattern of rugged surface with recesses and raises is resulted by the migration of the polymer molecules from the strongly irradiated area to the weakly irradiated area. The improvement has an object to increase the photosensitivity of this phenomenon by simultaneously irradiating the polymeric thin film with a second or bias light beam of a larger cross section to envelop the irradiation spot by the first or writing light beam.

  • Patent number: 6210980
Abstract: An inspection pattern for a semiconductor device includes at least one inspection pattern groove and a dummy interconnection. The inspection pattern groove is formed in an interlevel insulating film or lower interconnection covering a surface of a semiconductor substrate. The dummy interconnection is formed to intersect the inspection pattern groove by burying a metal material in the inspection pattern groove. The dummy interconnection has a side wall which is exposed in the groove-like opening portion and which is inspected whether a void is present therein. An inspection method for a semiconductor device is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6103431
Abstract: A rewritable, color image recording medium composed of a pair of opposed substrates at least one of which is transparent, and an intermediate layer interposed between the substrates. The intermediate layer contains at least one cholesteric liquid crystal compound having a molecular weight of not greater than 2,000 and a glass transition point of at least 35.degree. C., and a photochromic compound. By irradiating the intermediate layer imagewise with the light through the transparent substrate, while maintaining the intermediate layer at such a temperature that the cholesteric liquid crystal compound assumes a cholesteric liquid crystal phase, an image is formed. The image may be fixed by rapidly cooling the recording medium to a temperature lower than the glass transition.
