  • Patent number: 4143961
Abstract: In an electrophotographic apparatus, an image transmission system which is provided with a focusing light path, a duplication light path and a magnifying mechanism moves toward an original laying unit by scanning the image of an original section by section during a copying operation. One of the mirrors in the image transmission system rotates between a first position wherein it forms the focusing light path and a second position wherein it forms the duplication light path. During the copying operation, the original laying unit is also movable simultaneously in either same or opposite direction relative to the movement of the image transmission system so that an image of desired magnification rate and of accuracy is produced on a photosensitive element without requiring the lens of a long focal length.
