  • Publication number: 20160025095
Abstract: An electric pump includes: a case; a shaft member fixed to the case; a cylindrical bearing inserted on the outside of the shaft member; a rotor configured as a member separate from the bearing, and configured to rotate integrally with the bearing; and an impeller fixed to one end of the rotor, wherein a discharge path is formed between the bearing and the rotor along an axial direction, and allows fluid to return to the impeller therethrough, the fluid flowing from the outer circumference of the impeller into the case, and circulating in the case.

  • Patent number: 7940493
Abstract: Using a simple and inexpensive method, a reliable spindle motor having a simple and inexpensive structure is afforded, in which contact failure of the FPC does not occur even when the motor undergoes external impact. An extending portion is provided radially outer side of an annular recess of a base. The extending portion has a step whose radially outer side is higher, and a through hole formed such as to pass through the base from its inside to outside. A FPC is disposed on an upper surface of a stator. The FPC is fixed to a lower surface of the base through the through hole. The bending height and the bending angle of the FPC are minimized by providing the step having appropriate height so that the FPC is not easily peeled off even when subject to external impact.

  • Patent number: 7593182
Abstract: In a motor of a motor unit, a base plate includes a raised portion protruding from a surrounding portion on a side of the stator portion opposite to a rotor portion. A raised face of the raised portion is perpendicular to a central axis and is formed in an annular shape around the central axis. The raised face of the raised portion protrudes lower than a lower surface of a sticker member stuck around the raised portion to thereby close a hole portion formed around the raised portion.

  • Publication number: 20070159717
Abstract: In a low-profile disk drive device, the hard-disk carrying face of the spindle motor hub is finished to leave a spiral-patterned cutting track. Leaving the spiral-patterned cutting track increases the roughness of the carrying face, but seen in terms of the cutting-track hill portions themselves the surface unevenness is reduced. Because the disk is supported on the hill portions, warpage in the disk is attenuated.
