  • Patent number: 11264884
Abstract: A vehicle linear motor includes: a tubular casing; a pair of armatures placed and fixed in the casing; a mover formed in a flat plate shape and placed to face the pair of armatures and to be movable in the casing; and a support member configured to slidably support the mover such that the mover moves in a longitudinal direction of the mover. The mover formed in the flat plate shape includes a plurality of magnets that are arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction. Each of the pair of armatures has a magnetic pole that is arranged to move the mover relative to the armatures in the longitudinal direction. The casing is mounted on a vehicle such that the longitudinal direction is a horizontal direction, and the mover and the armatures are placed to face each other in the horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 10293800
Abstract: A parking brake controller (19) activates an electric actuator (43) in response to operation of a parking switch (18) to hold a disc brake (31) to serve as a parking brake. If a failure (fault) is detected in the parking switch (18), the parking brake controller (19) activates the electric actuator (43) so as to hold the parking brake automatically upon detecting a condition that presumes the vehicle operator's intent not to drive any longer while the vehicle is at rest.

  • Patent number: 9731575
Abstract: Shock absorbers of left and right front wheel suspensions and shock absorbers of left and right rear wheel suspensions each are constituted by a damping force adjustable hydraulic shock absorber provided with a frequency response unit. An actuator of a damping force variable mechanism provided to the shock absorber is driven and controlled by a controller. The controller variably adjusts the damping force between the soft side and the hard side by the damping force variable mechanism according to a vertical vibration when a vehicle body vertically vibrates at a low frequency. The controller does not adjust the damping force when the vehicle body vibrates at a higher frequency than the low frequency.

  • Patent number: 7722331
Abstract: An air-compressing apparatus has four compressors individually supplying compressed air to a tank having a pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is connected to control circuits of the compressors. The control circuits compute times needed for the tank pressure to reach minimum and maximum pressures, respectively, of the tank by using the detected tank pressure and also using a tank pressure change value. The computed time values correspond to the consumption of compressed air. Thus, the control circuits can control the number of compressors to be operated according to the consumption of compressed air.

  • Patent number: 7219781
Abstract: An electromagnetic suspension system comprises a universal joint mechanism for permitting radial movement of a cylinder relative to a center yoke while preventing axial movement of the cylinder relative to the center yoke. Since the cylinder is capable of radial movement relative to the center yoke, if a lateral force acts on the cylinder, the lateral force acting on a hydraulic damper does not have any significant effect on the center yoke 17 with respect to radial movement or rocking movement thereof. Therefore, excessive sliding friction does not occur in a center-yoke dry metal and a piston-rod dry metal, thereby ensuring smooth axial relative displacement between the center yoke and an outer yoke.

  • Publication number: 20060090331
Abstract: A temporary assembly device comprises a radiator tube feeder feeding a radiator tube to lower claw parts of a pair of carrier claws to have the radiator tube held on a set base, and a condenser tube feeder feeding a condenser tube to upper claw parts of the pair of carrier claws to have the condenser tube held on first protrusions of positioning guides, so that the condenser tube is disposed immediately above the radiator tube with a predetermined interval therebetween. In this manner, a first heat exchanger core and a second heat exchanger core are temporarily assembled with these tubes being stacked in two tiers.

  • Publication number: 20050150639
Abstract: In a fin forming step, fins of heat exchangers are formed into a connected state where the fins are connected to each other via a parting portion. In a fin attaching step, the fins in the connected state are temporarily attached to the respective heat exchangers. In a fin fixing step, an integrated heat exchanger in which the fins are temporarily attached is passed through a heating oven to braze the fins to the respective heat exchangers. In a fin separating step W4, the fins in the connected state of the respective heat exchangers are separated from each other in the parting portion. Therefore, each of the heat exchangers can independently perform a heat exchanging operation without being affected by heat conduction from the other heat exchanger via the fins.
