  • Patent number: 5090759
Abstract: A catching apparatus has a body to which an open ended inflatable cylindrical tube is affixed, for sealingly catching a fluid filled object. The fluid filled object is caught by the surface of the tube when air is supplied to the space between the tube and the body. An inflation limiting member is provided in a part of an area in which the tube inflates, in order to limit the inflation of the tube to a desired region.

  • Patent number: 4918423
Abstract: A device for inspecting the pressure, temperature, etc. in a tire includes a pressure sensor attached to a valve mounted on the tire rim and having an output that varies depending upon the tire internal pressure, and a resonator including a resonant coil and capacitor which resonates in the presence of an external radiation electromagnetic wave. An oscillation coil of an oscillator which generates the external radiation electromagnetic wave projects from the main body of the inspection device. The main body encloses a signal processor which detects and processes any change in oscillation state which has taken place at the oscillator, as caused by the resonance state of the resonator, and a display to display the result of the signal processing by the signal processor.

  • Patent number: 4783108
Abstract: The present invention provides a catching head of apparatus for catching parts, having a tube expansible by a fluid such as air, etc. hermetically fixed at both the ends thereof to a hard base end and free end, respectively, of a core member. When in use, the tube of the catching head is expanded by air to catch a part or any other object to be handled. The one end of the tube attached to the free end of the core member is fitted as folded back to the free end of the core member. A passage is formed in the base end of the core member to supply air into the tube hermetically sealed.

  • Patent number: 4726436
Abstract: A measuring equipment comprising a single plate-like structure of which the central and peripheral portions are linked by beams at a minimum of 4 places. The central portion of the single plate-like structure is a board to which a load is to be applied, and pairs of strain gauges, each provided with 2 resistors, are attached on the top and bottom faces or the side faces, respectively, of each beam. A load applied to the loading board is detected as strain by the strain gauges at each beam which provide electrical outputs for indicating load.

  • Patent number: 4302966
Abstract: A method of assembling a wheel tire to a tire rim as a tire wheel is disclosed. The method comprises steps of measuring dynamic balances of a rim and a tire wheel formed by securing a tire to the rim, seeking static balances of the rim and the tire from these dynamic balances, and securing the tire to the rim by directing the direction of the static balance of the tire at 180.degree. opposite to the direction of the static balance of the rim.

  • Patent number: 4223386
Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling a tire with a disc wheel under the optimum condition, in which inner diameter variation of the disc wheel, radial force variation of the tire proper, radial force variation of a wheel assembly body and existing assembled condition are displayed on separate channels of a display device, respectively. The radial force variation of the tire proper thus displayed is phase shifted by an angle at which the radial force variation of the wheel assembly body becomes minimum. The tire is then displaced with respect to the disc wheel by the above angle so as to obtain the optimum assembled condition.

  • Patent number: 4007069
Abstract: A radial tire and a three-step process for making the radial tire. In the first step an intermediate tire assembly is made by assembling a carcass and side rubber layers. In the second step a green case is made by flexing the intermediate tire assembly and mounting a breaker and a tread rubber layer on the carcass. In the third step the green case is vulcanized. The tread rubber layer has edge portions made of the same rubber material as the side rubber layers.

  • Patent number: 4006766
Abstract: A pneumatic radial tire includes a carcass means having at least one rubberized carcass ply consisting of cords disposed at 70.degree. to 90.degree. to the equatorial direction of the tire, a pair of flexible side rubber layers secured to the carcass ply and forming the outer covering of the sidewalls, each side rubber layer composed of flexible rubber having a Shore A hardness upon vulcanization of 40.degree. to 55.degree., a rubberized breaker layer and a tread rubber layer secured to the tire crown. The breaker layer consists of cords disposed at 10.degree. to 30.degree. to the equatorial direction of the tire. The tread rubber layer has a width substantially equal to the width of the tire crown and at least a portion of the shoulders and is made of a highly abrasion-resistant hard rubber material with a Shore A hardness upon vulcanization of 55.degree. to 75.degree..
