  • Patent number: 6466397
Abstract: A cassette plate is provided with a bendable bottom plate, right and left side walls, and upper plates extending toward an inward direction from said side walls. The bottom plate includes a platform having a function for pushing up a backside of a tape cassette when the tape cassette is inserted into the cassette plate through a front mouth. Owing to this construction, the bottom plate convexly bends downward, and the tape cassette is kept at a distance from the bottom plate of the cassette plate. In this state, the tape cassette is supported by the platform and upper plates of the cassette plate. Therefore, this assimilates variations of the components in size, and eliminates a need of a conventional pushing spring. The constitution can decrease the number of the component in a simple construction, thereby reducing the cost in a tape cassette loading device, and a tape deck having the same.

  • Patent number: 6111713
Abstract: A recording-medium mis-recording preventing mechanism for preventing recording from being made by mistake on a recording medium loaded in a recording unit, comprises: a push switch for detecting whether the recording medium is recordable or not; and an arm portion. The arm portion includes: a first arm member pivoted on the recording unit and having a detection portion for abutting against a judgement claw provided on the recording medium so as to be removable by bending; a second arm member for pushing the push switch; a thin plate portion for connecting the first arm member and the second arm member; a spring provided between the first arm member and the second arm member for urging the second arm member in the direction to push the push switch; and a plate spring portion provided on the first arm member for making the arm portion return to a position in which the arm portion is to be positioned when no recording medium is loaded.

  • Patent number: 6057979
Abstract: A magnetic tape apparatus having a bearer formed so as to be reciprocatable in the front-rear direction between a cassette insertion position and a cassette mount position on a chassis for inserting a tape cassette, and a rotating cam provided on the chassis for driving the bearer through an interlocking mechanism with a clutch. In the magnetic tape apparatus, the clutch is turned off to release the interlocking mechanism between the bearer and the rotating cam when the bearer is advanced from the cassette mount position to the cassette insertion position, while the clutch is turned on to establish the interlock between the bearer and the rotating cam when the bearer is retreated from the cassette insertion position to the cassette mount position.

  • Patent number: 6021018
Abstract: A loading mechanism in a video cassette deck comprising a cassette moving mechanism 100 for moving a cassette receiving portion 200 between an initial location and a running location. The cassette moving mechanism 100 has a slide arm 120 horizontally slidably attached on one of a pair of wall portions 110 provided on both left and right sides of the cassette receiving portion 200, a driving portion for sliding the slide arm 120, a cassette driving gear 130 which is rotatably supported on the wall portion 110 to which the slide arm 120 is attached and which is connected to the cassette receiving portion 200 through a groove portion 112 formed in the wall portion 110, and a door arm 140 for transmitting the motion of the slide arm 120 to a door. The cassette loading mechanism is designed so that the door is opened before the cassette receiving portion 200 is moved when the cassette receiving portion 200 in the running location is moved into the initial location.

  • Patent number: 5975787
Abstract: A device for securing a pinch roller support arm to a chassis of a magnetic tape apparatus. In the device, the chassis includes a round hole which is formed such that it extends through the chassis, and a securing part is outsert molded in the chassis in such a manner that the securing part extends through the round hole. After the pinch roller support arm is fitted with a support shaft provided on and projected from the chassis and a projection provided on the pinch roller support arm is fitted into a fitting hole formed in the chassis, by rotating the securing part around the round hole, the securing part is engaged with the projection.

  • Patent number: 5742448
Abstract: A device for loading and unloading a tape cassette includes a cam disc rotatably supported to a chassis and at least one guide route disposed thereon and extending from near the rotating axis of the cam disc to the periphery thereof so as to be topologically shifted in the rotating direction, and a swinging arm pivoted to the chassis and having a cam follow pin received in the guide route. The tape cassette is transported together with the cassette holder from an inlet port to the tape deck and vice versa. A shift member is adapted to retractively guide the cassette holder by cooperating with the swinging arm.
