Patent number: 11959151Abstract: Provided is a method for separating copper from nickel and cobalt, which is capable of efficiently and selectively separating copper, and nickel and cobalt from an alloy containing copper, nickel and cobalt such as a highly anticorrosive alloy that is obtained by subjecting a waste lithium ion battery to a dry treatment and contains copper, nickel and cobalt. According to the present invention, an alloy containing copper, nickel and cobalt is brought into contact with an acid in the coexistence of a sulfurization agent, thereby obtaining a solid that contains copper and a leachate that contains nickel and cobalt.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2018Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: SUMITOMO METAL MINING CO., LTD.Inventors: Tatsuya Higaki, Hiroshi Takenouchi, Hiroshi Kobayashi, Satoshi Asano

Publication number: 20020035947Abstract: A car body 8 is supported on a bogie frame 4 through an air spring 5. Along to a width direction of the car body 8, to the bogie frame 4 a torsion bar 11 is provided. At both ends of the torsion bar 11, links 15 and 15 for inclining to direct for an inner side of the car body 8 through levers 13 and 13 are provided. Accordingly, a rolling displacement of the both ends of the car body is restricted and an upper and lower displacement in the same phase is not restricted. According to an occurrence of an excess centrifugal acceleration which acts on the car body 8, a car body inclination according to a link mechanism can be operated. For this reason, a light weight structure and a low cost structure can be attained. An inclination device having a light weight structure, a left and right riding good feeling in the passenger in a car, and a high fail-safe characteristic can be obtained.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2001Publication date: March 28, 2002Inventors: Michio Sebata, Hideo Takai, Katsuyuki Iwasaki, Hiroshi Higaki, Takaomi Nishigaito, Kenjiro Goda

Patent number: 5263894Abstract: A ventilation control device for a high-speed train carriage is operable in conjunction with a ventilating blower. A deflectable spring flap is mounted to extend across the ventilation duct in the air flow path. When deflection of the flap reaches a threshold level corresponding to possible passenger discomfort, the flap operates a limit switch positioned behind it. This activates a driving solenoid to close a shutter which shuts off the flow through the duct. A timer holds the shutter closed for a predetermined period, after which it is re-opened. Use of a microprocessor-controlled continuous sensor and damper can thereby be avoided, while cutting out very large pressure fluctuations.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 1992Date of Patent: November 23, 1993Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Haruo Hirakawa, Shinichiroo Ishikawa, Hiroshi Higaki, Atsushi Ikio, Masakazu Matsumoto

Patent number: 5137490Abstract: Ventilating equipment for railway rolling stock including a low-pressure supply air blower, a high-pressure supply air blower, a low-pressure exhaust air blower, and a high-pressure exhaust air blower. This ventilating equipment ventilates car interior during travel of a train outside of tunnels by the low-pressure supply air blower and the low-pressure exhaust air blower, and also ventilates the car interior during travel in tunnels by the high-pressure supply air blower and the high-pressure exhaust air blower. The high-pressure supply air blower and the high-pressure exhaust air blower produce a higher discharge pressure than a changing external pressure during a high-speed travel in tunnels, thereby preventing the propagation of an influence of the changing external pressure into the car interior.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1991Date of Patent: August 11, 1992Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Shinichirou Ishikawa, Toshiharu Matsuda, Haruo Hirakawa, Hiroshi Higaki, Atsushi Ikio, Masakazu Matsumoto

Patent number: 4802418Abstract: A wheelset steering apparatus and method for the truck of railway vehicles, wherein an axle box rotatably provided on the opposite ends of the wheelset is elastically supported in the longitudinal direction as well as in the lateral direction of the truck with respect to a truck frame. Vertical loadings on the truck frame are carried by the axle box. A spring constant in the longitudinal direction of the truck in a state of being elastically supported with respect to the truck frame of the axle box is varied when the vehicle runs. The self-steering property of the wheelset is enhanced, and stability in running on a straight track is secured.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1987Date of Patent: February 7, 1989Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Isao Okamoto, Katsuyuki Terada, Hiromi Go, Michio Sebata, Hiroshi Higaki, Hideo Takai

Patent number: 4746143Abstract: A vibration control apparatus for vehicles to be installed on the vehicle wherein a vehicle body is supported on a truck through springs and damping mechanisms, for suppressing the vibrations of the vehicle body and enhancing the riding quality of the vehicle, comprising a vibration detector which detects the vibration of the vehicle body, a compensator circuit which compensates the detection output of the vibration detector and produces a control output for suppressing the vibration of the vehicle body, a fluid operating mechanism which controls the relative displacement between the vehicle body and the truck and which is connected to the vehicle body on one side and to the truck on the other side, a fluid control device which controls the fluid operating mechanism by the use of the control output produced by the compensator circuit, and damping control means to suppress the damping function of the damping mechanism upon sensing the state under which the vibration of the vehicle body is suppressed by the fluType: GrantFiled: January 29, 1987Date of Patent: May 24, 1988Assignees: Japanese National Railways, Hitachi Ltd.Inventors: Isao Okamoto, Katsuyuki Terada, Hiromi Go, Michio Sebata, Hiroshi Higaki, Hideo Takai

Patent number: 4489659Abstract: A girder for supporting a movable body has a truss structure of a cross-sectional shape forming an isosceles triangle with a horizontal base. The truss structure is formed of three main tubes of a circular cross section that are located in positions corresponding to respective corners of the triangle and extend continuously over the length of the girder. A plurality of branch tubes of circular cross section are fixed at their ends to respective pairs of the main tubes by joint pieces, such that three branch tubes lie in a plane extending through the respective joint pieces perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the main tubes so as to form the isosceles triangle. A rail support is secured to each main tube of the base of the isosceles triangle at a position disposed upwardly and outwardly of the center thereof, and a rail, along which the movable body is traversable, is supported on each rail support.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1981Date of Patent: December 25, 1984Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Hideaki Kamohara, Minoru Imamura, Hiroshi Higaki, Yuji Yoshitomi, Syuzo Uno, Kazuhiro Makino, Hiroshi Nomura, Kyozo Yoshioka

Patent number: 4445569Abstract: The present invention relates to a laminated heat exchanger having a laminated construction consisting of a plurality of perforated heat transfer plates and spacers arranged alternatingly, the spacers defining a plurality of fluid passages between respective adjacent heat transfer plates, so that heat is exchanged between different fluids flowing in different fluid passages through the heat transfer across the heat transfer plates. More specifically, the invention is concerned with a heat exchanger of the type described above, wherein a plurality of separate scroll passages are formed by the spacer, so that local concentration of each fluid in its passage is avoided to remarkably improve the heat transfer efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1982Date of Patent: May 1, 1984Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Norihide Saho, Koji Koibuchi, Kenjiro Kasai, Hiroshi Higaki
