  • Patent number: 5753872
Abstract: In an acceleration switch, a magnetic contact opening/closing member is disposed at a horizontal initial position above a holding member. The end portion of the contact opening/closing member is pushed upward from the initial position by a ball that rolls along the tilt surface of the holding member with an inertia. First and second leaf springs are disposed to oppose each other on rolling and non-rolling sides of the ball through the holding member, and have upper free ends for sandwiching two end portions of the contact opening/closing member at the initial position. At least the first leaf spring is made of a conductive material and imparted with properties to swing in a direction to come close to the second leaf spring. When the contact opening/closing member is at the initial position, the first leaf spring is pressed by the contact opening/closing member in a direction to come close to an electrode plate against the swing properties and comes into contact with the electrode plate.

  • Patent number: 5495762
Abstract: A pendulum acceleration sensor includes a plate-like pendulum, at least a pair of detection sensors, and a holder unit. The pendulum swings about a shaft in a direction parallel to the side surfaces of the pendulum in accordance with an acceleration. The pair of detection sensors are arranged to oppose each other with the pendulum interposed therebetween to detect the displacement amount of the pendulum upon swing. The holder unit is constituted by sensor storing members for storing the detection sensors and positioning the detection sensors with respect to the pendulum, and shaft support members integrally formed with the sensor storing members to pivotally support two ends of the shaft of the pendulum and define a swing space for the pendulum.

  • Patent number: 4584778
Abstract: An angle change detector which can also be used as an inclination angle detector comprises a pair of opposing magnets, a sector-shaped pendulum made of an electroconductive non-magnetic material and swingable past a spacing between the opposing magnets, and a pair of photosensors disposed on both side edges of the pendulum. Each photosensor comprises a light emitting diode and a phototransistor disposed on both sides of the pendulum. Output signals of the phototransistors are compared with a reference signal for producing an output signal corresponding to the degree of swinging of the pendulum.

  • Patent number: 4492029
Abstract: An inclinometer comprising a sector weight pivotally supported on a main body which may become inclined, the weight being relatively rotatable with respect to the main body and constantly hanging vertically due to gravity regardless of an inclination of the main body. A code part is provided on the weight, corresponding to a plurality of bits based on a predetermined code according to a relative rotary angle of the weight with respect to the main body, and a detecting part which becomes inclined together with the main body and becomes displaced with respect to the weight along each of the bits of the code part, produces a detection output based on the predetermined code according to the inclination angle of the main body.

  • Patent number: 4426788
Abstract: An inclinometer of the type wherein a weight rotatable in accordance with the inclination of a vehicle is provided for a drive unit, and a torque of the drive unit is transmitted to a driven unit so as to display the inclination angle of the vehicle with an inclination indicator, there are provided a zero point adjusting spiral spring, the inner end thereof being affixed to a shaft of the driven unit, while an outer end is affixed to a rotary drive member, and a zero point adjusting knob for rotating the rotary drive member. According to this invention, after the zero point has been adjusted, the zero point display line of the indicators and the zero point scale line of the scale board can be aligned horizontally, thus improving the appearance of the zero point display.
