Patent number: 11296406Abstract: A planar antenna includes a plurality of antenna elements and transmits and receives a radio wave to and from a target. An attitude controller is attached to the planar antenna and controls an attitude of the planar antenna mechanically. An antenna controller controls the attitude controller such that the planar antenna points in a predetermined direction with respect to the target. A scan controller controls beam scanning performed by the planar antenna and adjusts an excitation phase of each of the antenna elements in accordance with a signal level of a reception signal generated from a radio wave received from the target during performance of the beam scanning, thereby directing a beam from the planar antenna toward the target. The scan controller limits a range of the beam scanning to a range within which no grating lobe occurs.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2019Date of Patent: April 5, 2022Assignee: Mitsubishi Electric CorporationInventor: Hiroshi Ikematsu

Publication number: 20070034247Abstract: The description relates to a rectenna solar-battery hybrid panels that not only receive electric power transmitted by microwaves after the electric energy has been generated from sunlight, but also gain sunlight energy on the open faces of the panels, and to hybrid solar photovoltaic generation systems. In the rectenna solar-battery hybrid panel, a plurality of solar battery cells for receiving sunlight and converting the sunlight into electricity and a plurality of microwave receiving antenna elements for receiving microwaves transmitted through space are provided. dc electric power is obtained from microwave power, having been received by the microwave receiving antenna elements, being rectified by a rectifying circuit. Stable electric power can be obtained from the output of the solar battery cells and the rectifying circuit.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2004Publication date: February 15, 2007Applicant: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuyuki Takada, Atsushi Yamamoto, Tomohiro Mizuno, Hiroshi Ikematsu, Hiroyuki Satou

Patent number: 6600911Abstract: If a local oscillation wave of a frequency approximately half the received signal frequency is input to a low noise amplifier 2, a dc offset voltage caused by the nonlinearity of the amplifier is produced, thus degrading reception sensitivity. This problem is resolved by disposing before the low noise amplifier 2 a filter means, such as a bandpass filter 12, band-elimination filter 13, or high pass filter 14, with characteristics for passing the received wave and suppressing a frequency band at approximately half the received wave frequency, thus preventing a radiation wave at substantially the same frequency as the local oscillation wave from being input to the low noise amplifier 2. A filter circuit 15 is also provided in the low noise amplifier 2 as a means for eliminating a radiation wave input to the low noise amplifier 2.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2000Date of Patent: July 29, 2003Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hideki Morishige, Hiroshi Ikematsu, Kenji Itoh
