  • Patent number: 5888293
Abstract: A low-cost and high productivity charging material is provided for use in the recharge or additional charge fabrication of single-crystal semiconductor by means of the CZ method. Common polysilicon rods utilized in recharge or additional charge fabrication have their end portions formed into ring grooves. A joint element is made of silicon. When the end portions of the rods contact, the joint element engages the grooves to connect the rods together along their longitudinal direction. The rods can have arbitrary length, whereas the total weight, including the joint element, must be adjusted by the length to be greater than those of the melted polysilicon and the suspending portions.

  • Patent number: 5191798
Abstract: A pressure sensor including a semiconductor strain gauge and resistors for compensating temperature, a zero point or the like and made of the same material as that of said semiconductor strain gauge are formed on a metal diaphragm thereof. The resistors for the compensating circuit and the strain gauge are simultaneously formed by patterning a polycrystalline silicone thin film or the like laminated on the diaphragm. As a result, the number of the elements and the manufacturing processes such as a soldering process are reduced for the purpose of improving manufacturing yield. In order to widen the zero point compensating range, a plurality of zero-point compensating resistors, if formed, are disposed on a circumference relative to the center of the diaphragm so as to reduced the scattering in the level of the resistance of each of the resistors.

  • Patent number: 4974563
Abstract: An engine controller comprising a means for estimating an amount of the air flowing into the cylinder of the engine. The estimation means calculates the intake air amount mc(k+1) in the following equation determined from the physical model describing the law of conservation of mass for the intake air:mc(k+1)=.alpha..multidot.Q/.omega.+.beta..multidot.mc(k)where .alpha. and .beta. are constants, mc(k) is the last estimated value, Q is the flux of the detected air, and is the engine speed. The estimation is executed synchronously with the intake stroke so as to control the fuel injection amount synchronously with the intake stroke. To further improve the accuracy of the fuel injection even when the running condition of the engine changes after the estimation of the intake air amount, the fuel should be injected asynchronously with the intake stroke. We also disclose the engine controller that controls the amount of such an asynchronous injection.
