  • Publication number: 20020054118
Abstract: A simple and easy-to-memorize operation method for a scheduling management system is provided to perform main tasks such as referring to schedules of a selected member or a selected date. A software component indicating a schedule, a member, or a date is moved to any one of components constituting a GUI screen, and when the software component is superposed upon another component, the motion destination component constituting the GUI screen judges the type of the superposed software component to select a process to be performed. Main tasks can be performed by a simple operation method through superposition of software components.

  • Patent number: 6207885
Abstract: The invention presents a rendition control apparatus that not only reduces processing so that processing is neither complicated nor complex, but also reduces the used storage region. The rendition control apparatus allows for differences in the timing over the passage of time when reproducing and rendering a continuous sound waveform, and renders sound waveforms naturally and with good rhythm, while making it possible to change the reproduction tempo freely.

  • Patent number: 6198601
Abstract: A magnetic head element has one or more rails formed on the surface thereof. Each rail is formed so as to have a tapered angle of 55-85°. To form such a rail, ion milling is conducted; the rail substrate used is allowed to have an inclination angle to 15-60° and is rotated; and there is used, as the ion milling gas, a fluorinated hydrocarbon (e.g., CH2FCF3) gas alone or a mixed gas of said fluorinated hydrocarbon gas and Ar, SF6 or the like. Accordingly, a magnetic head rail shape gives a small variation in flying height between magnetic bead and magnetic disc.

  • Patent number: 5483121
Abstract: A hollow cathode discharge tube is used for atomic absorption analysis. The tube has a cathode which includes a first hollow portion and a second hollow portion connected to each other. The second hollow portion has a diameter greater than the first hollow portion and a close end. Inserted through the closed end is a rod-like anode which has a part within the hollow space of the cathode. There is a auxiliary electrode which can be an auxiliary anode that surrounds the rod-like anode and is insulated therefrom. There is an additional electrode which can be an auxiliary cathode at the front end portion of the cathode. The cathode is formed of a material that is a material or includes a material that is to be analyzed.

  • Patent number: 5329689
Abstract: A process for producing a magnetic head slider with at least one rail having an air bearing surface. The process includes the steps of disposing a non-metallic film on a work surface to be shaped of a magnetic head slider material so as to be in intimate contact with the work surface, patterning the non-metallic film disposed on the work surface into at least one predetermined rail shape, shaping the work surface of the magnetic head slider material utilizing the patterned non-metallic film as a mask, and stripping off the patterned non-metallic film utilized as a mask which remains on the work surface of the slider material so as to provide at least one shaped slider rail of the magnetic head slider.

  • Patent number: 5128588
Abstract: A large output discharge lamp comprising rod-like electrodes having confronting ends defining therebetween the discharge gap and being disposed in a bulb body. The other ends of the electrodes extend sealingly into two oppositely extending side tube which are integrally formed with the bulb body. Molybdenum foils are connected respectively with the electrodes and disposed and sealed respectively in the side tubes. Flexible metal pieces are respectively connected with the molybdenum foils and are disposed in the side tubes and outwards of the molydenum foils. Lead rods are connected respectively with the flexible metal pieces through molybdenum cups and disposed in the side tubes. The outer end portions of the side tubes are sealed and bases are respectively mounted thereon which are connected to the lead rods respectively.

  • Patent number: 5085515
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for inspecting a physical feature on a surface of a manufactured article. First, a sensor is provided adjacent to the article. Then, the surface of the article is sensed by the sensor while causing one of the sensor and the article to rotate about an axis perpendicular to the surface of the article, to thereby obtain a signal which has peaks corresponding to the physical feature on the surface of the article. Subsequently the signal is processed and the processed signal is analyzed based on the number of the peaks, to thereby obtain information as to the physical feature on the surface of the article. An inspection apparatus suitable for practicing the above-mentioned method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4668003
Abstract: The body of a vehicle has a floor and two sides, with a body longitudinal center line being defined midway between these two sides. A driver's seat is fixed to the floor on one side of this body longitudinal center line, and a front passenger's seat is fixed to the floor on the other side thereof. The approximate center of the driver's seat lies substantially closer to this body longitudinal center line than does the approximate center of the front passenger's seat. Thereby, more room is obtained for the driver, at the expense of somewhat diminishing the room available for the front passenger. Further, it becomes possible for the driver's seat directly to oppose the control pedals, without any slanting sitting attitude being required from the driver.
