  • Patent number: 6680286
Abstract: Liquid detergent compositions, are disclosed, comprising a surfactant and a builder mainly comprised of a quaternary ammonium salt of a carboxyl-containing polymer, which has good compatibility with surfactants and is capable of providing excellent detergency, especially, against mud dirt in washing clothes. Detergent compositions, are also disclosed, containing an alkoxylated alcohol nonionic surfactant having a specific distribution constant and narrow molecular weight distribution or an anionic surfactant derived therefrom, together with one or more of a quaternary ammonium or organic amine salt of a carboxyl group-containing polymer, a cationic surfactant and a quaternary ammonium or organic amine salt of a low molecular weight polycarboxylic acid, whereby detergency is synergistically enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5652320
Abstract: The present invention provides an novel polymer having 1-2,000 equivalents of an N-sulfoamino group/10.sup.6 g of weight of the polymer. The polymer has excellent dispersibility of inorganic fine particles, hygroscopicity, and dye-affinity. The polymer provides a binder resin in which a magnetic or non-magnetic metal or metal oxide can highly be dispersed. The polymer also provides a magnetic recording medium which is excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristic, surface smoothness, adhesion to non-magnetic substrates, and durability. The polymer provides a magnetic recording medium with improved travelling, travelling durability, signal-to-noise ratio, and drop-out. The polymer also provides a polyester fiber which has a high fiber strength and an excellent hygroscopicity and can be colored with cationic dyes.

  • Patent number: 5578680
Abstract: Vibration-absorbing elastomeric composites, having improved vibration-damping properties with improved moldability and resin properties suitable for molded products, are obtained by reacting, insitu in a melted thermoplastic resin such as olefin-diene copolymer, a polyisocyanate with a polyol to form a polyurethane having a nitrogen atom content of at least 3% and having a solubility parameter which is higher by at least 2.5 than that of said thermoplastic resin.

  • Patent number: 5221785
Abstract: A polymer composite comprises about 5 to 95 parts by weight of a copolymer (A) selected from the group consisting of olefin/diene copolymer and ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer, and 5 to 95 parts by weight of a polyurethane resin (B), wherein the polyurethane resin is one which is synthesized in the melted copolymer in the absence of a compatibilizer, a composition for molding comprising such polymer composite and electroconductive fillers and its molded article, and rubber contacts. The polymer composite possesses the flexibility and durability equivalent to those of silicone rubber, has excellent injection molding property, can be made by a short manufacturing process, and can be manufactured inexpensively. The polymer composite of the invention, when used together with an electroconductive filler, is effectively applied as rubber contacts, that is, flexible electric connection members of electric products.
