  • Publication number: 20160335017
Abstract: The embodiments provide facilitate storage of content from a terminal device in a cloud environment. Storage servers, a front server, and terminal devices are connected to a network. Each terminal device carries out an operation to the front server to store created content. The front server acquires the account of each of the storage servers in advance. The front server splits received content into split files, and stores the split files on different storage servers, respectively. The terminal device requests the front server to download the stored content. The front server acquires the split files from the storage servers, restores the content, and sends the restored content back to the terminal device. The front server encrypts and stores, with a public key of the terminal device, meta information for decrypting the content from the split files.

  • Patent number: 9021243
Abstract: For increasing a free memory amount, a computer is provided with a main memory and a virtual memory area. Working sets having a predetermined size in a main memory are allocated to virtual address spaces. The area from which working sets are removed is a free memory area, and a cache area is set to a part of the area. During booting, a predetermined process not affecting the booting is suspended. The size of the working set of the suspended process is decreased by swapping out the memory page into the virtual memory area. As a result, the size of the free memory area increases, and along therewith, the OS increases the size of a cache area, thus enabling more boot files to be read ahead and reducing the boot time.

  • Patent number: 8816902
Abstract: There is provided a radar apparatus for detecting a target. A detection signal generating unit generates detection signals of the target based on transmission and reception waves of antennas. A detection signal processing unit performs frequency analysis on the detection signals to extract signal components of the target, and performs a predetermined process on the signal components to calculate at least one of a distance to the target, a relative speed to the target, and an orientation of the target. The detection signal generating unit includes a filter unit for giving changes to the detection signals in a frequency bandwidth higher than Nyquist frequency which is a half a sampling frequency. The detection signal processing unit acquires the signal components from the detection signals to which the filter unit gives the changes to determine whether the signal components are generated by replication due to the Nyquist frequency.

  • Patent number: 8768896
Abstract: Computer programs, methods and systems for managing a setting information database of a computer system are described. The computer system includes an original setting information database and an administrative database which store setting information of the system. Each time a write request to write data to the setting information database is received from a requester, a write processing portion writes the requested data to the administrative database. When a read processing portion receives a read request to read data from the setting information database, if the data is included in the administrative database, the read processing portion passes the data from the administrative database to the program that issued the read request. An editing portion cleans up the administrative database using a white list to ensure that only a trusted program can write data.

  • Patent number: 8727533
Abstract: A fundus camera includes an optical path splitting unit arranged between a focusing unit and an imaging unit. The splitting unit has characteristics adapted to reflect light of a visible light region and to transmit near-infrared light. The splitting unit retreats from an optical path when a still fundus image is photographed. A quick-return mirror having such characteristics is used as the splitting unit. When near-infrared illumination light having a wavelength of about 850 nm is used, such light can be incident upon the imaging unit without loss of the amount of light. Visible light output from an internal fixation target is projected onto a subject's eye. A cornea diaphragm and a crystalline lens diaphragm are used for observing a fundus with invisible light. Each of the cornea diaphragm and crystalline lens diaphragm can be changed to another one having a different diameter.
