  • Patent number: 5419641
Abstract: A radial needle bearing includes an outer ring having a race track formed on the inner surface thereof and inward flanges at both ends thereof, a retainer with a plural number of pockets, rotatably located within the outer ring, a seal ring located between the end face of the retainer and inside the inward flange, the seal ring functioning to impede the flow of a lubricating oil flowing in the axial direction within the outer ring, and a plural number of needles rotatably held within each of the pockets. The radial needle bearing is improved in that the outer diameter of the retainer is slightly smaller than the diameter of the race track, and the inner diameter of the retainer is slightly larger than the inscribed circle of the plural number of needles.

  • Patent number: 5361648
Abstract: The rolling/sliding outer ring of the cam follower apparatus withstand peeling very well, even in sever lubrication conditions, through the steps that on the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring, the depth of the surface layer is taken to be 0 to 50 .mu.m, and the maximum residual compressive stress in this surface layer is between 50 and 110 kgf/mm.sup.2, the hardness of this surface layer is between Hv830 and Hv960, and the average wavelength of the very minute protrusions on the surface is less than 25 .mu.m, and the amount of residual austenite in the surface layer exceeds 7 volume %, after processing, while the inner peripheral surface, of the outer ring is superfinished.

  • Patent number: 5298271
Abstract: A method for preventing refined edible oils and fats from deteriorating during transportation and/or storage thereof over a prolonged period of time, wherein the refined edible oils and fats are stored and/or transported at all times under an atmosphere rich in nitrogen gas. This nitrogen-enriched atmosphere contains nitrogen in a concentration not lower than 99.5%.

  • Patent number: 4795569
Abstract: A method for dry fractionation of a fatty material which comprises cooling the fatty material and then fractionating the material into a solid fraction and a liquid fraction, said cooling being carried out by introducing the fatty material in a fluid state into a filter chamber of a filter apparatus having pressing function and maintaining the fat material therein at a crystal deposition temperature until a predetermined amount of crystals are formed, and said fractionation being carried out by pressing the filter chamber to fractionate the fat material into the solid fraction and the liquid fraction.
