  • Publication number: 20240265236
Abstract: An associative memory device includes a memory pattern specifying unit that stores a fixed-length numeric vector as a memory pattern; a recall pattern specifying unit that stores a numeric vector associated with the memory pattern as a recall pattern; an associative memory learning unit that acquires an associative memory circuit through learning by using an echo state network including an input layer, an intermediate layer, and an output layer. The values of all units constituting the input layer are input in parallel to the intermediate layer. The values are output in parallel from the intermediate layer through neural network processing performed within the intermediate layer set as values of all units constituting the output layer. The recall pattern is output in parallel from the associative memory circuit.

  • Patent number: 9435558
Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner with spatial recognition and detection functions for deciding room shape by determining, based on temperature difference information between the floor and walls occurring during air conditioning operation, a human body detection position log, and a capacity zone of the air conditioner. In an embodiment, an infrared sensor detects a temperature of an area of the room by scanning the area and a control unit acquires thermal image data of the area scanned by the infrared sensor and then calculates a temperature of a wall of the room from the acquired thermal image data. The control unit detects a human body in the room from the thermal image data, calculates a distance between the body and the wall, and calculates a radiation temperature from the wall for the body based on the calculated temperature of the wall and the distance between the body and the wall.

  • Patent number: 8878718
Abstract: A normalization processing circuit normalizes a position of a complex demodulation signal on a complex plane from an A/D converter, and outputs a normalized complex demodulation signal after the normalization to a multiple-dimensional feature extractor. The multiple-dimensional feature extractor calculates a feature quantity that changes when a person intrudes, a feature quantity that changes in wind and rain, and a feature quantity that changes when a spatially isolated intense electric field exists. A discriminator discriminates that a person has intruded based on the feature quantities of three dimensions.

  • Patent number: 8392026
Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner with functions for deciding room shape by determining, based on a temperature difference, information between the room's floor and walls occurring during operation, a human body detection position log, and a capacity zone of the air conditioner. In an embodiment, an infrared sensor detects a temperature of an area of the room by scanning the area and a control unit acquires thermal image data of the area scanned by the sensor and then controls the air conditioner based on the thermal image data. The control unit sets a boundary line between a wall and floor of the room at a position on the thermal image data, calculates a temperature difference between vertically adjacent pixels located above and below the boundary, corrects a position of the boundary based on temperature difference, and determines that areas parted by the boundary correspond to the wall and floor, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7646891
Abstract: There is provided an image processor and a method thereof for high-speed compensation for taken-image blurs produced by camera shakes or the like. In the first instance, a motion-detecting area is selected for each of two images taken by an image sensor. When projective data is calculated by means of computing in a predetermined direction pixels of the motion-detecting areas, the motion vector between the two images can be acquired based on the projective data. The image correlativity between the two images is then calculated in the direction that the motion vector designates; and the amount of pixel displacement between the two images is calculated based on the correlativity values acquired by the calculation.

  • Patent number: 7639266
Abstract: A transmission-side cellular phone sends, via a mail server, to a reception-side cellular phone a face image and its attribute information as an attachment to an email. The reception-side cellular phone extracts the face image from the email, selects face part images from among a plurality of face part images stored in the face part storing section, combines the face image and the selected face parts, and displays the combined image. The reception-side cellular phone selects the face part images based on, for example, a number of times a telephone call from a person was not attended in a predetermined period.

  • Publication number: 20070122005
Abstract: In conventional image authentication apparatuses, in a case in which relatively significant variation of a face image is accompanied when a part of a face is hidden by a mask or sun-glasses, etc. during a matching operation, it has been difficult to treat the image as an authentication target. When the part of the face is also hidden by the mask or the sun-glasses, etc. during the matching operation, by outputting a recollected image, using as an input image a face image extracted by a target extraction unit, by an image recollection unit provided with an associative memory circuit, partial hiding and facial-expression variation, etc. included in the input image are complemented; thereby, application range is expanded so that face authentication can also be performed in a face image including relatively significant variation.

  • Patent number: 6885761
Abstract: A person's portrait generation device includes an image input section which picks up a two-dimensional image containing a person's face, using an image sensor. A head area extracting section extracts the head of the person from the image. A feature detection section detects the position of characteristic feature(s) of the face of that person. A face outline determining section determines a border between a face outline and a background. An image processing section generates a person's portrait in which the characteristic feature(s) of the face is emphasized.
