  • Patent number: 5001576
Abstract: An image processor in which a high-frequency component of image signals is diminished, and a density value of each of the "diminished" image signals is compared with a first reference value in a first comparator. A first classifier is provided for classifying the image signals into a character image and a tonal image based on a signal output from the first comparator. A length or an area of an image signal classified into the tonal image is measured, and a second comparator is provided for comparing the length or area of a measured image signal measured with a second reference value corresponding to a reference length or a reference area. A second classifier is provided for further classifying an image signal below the second reference value from the second comparator into an image signal of the character image.

  • Patent number: 4125416
Abstract: A method for producing a low carbon deep drawing quality steel or high strength steel in the form of a strip or sheet. At least one of carbide or nitride forming elements is added to the low carbon steel to provide therein 0.015 to 0.10% Sol Al, 0.01 to 0.10% Nb, 0.01 to 0.10% Ti and 0.01 to 0.15% V. The steel is cast or bloomed to form a slab which is held above the Ar.sub.3 point for keeping the carbide and nitride forming elements in a dissolved state. Then, without allowing the temperature to fall below the Ar.sub.3 point, hot rolling and hot finishing rolling are directly carried out at a temperature above the Ar.sub.3 point. Thereafter, if necessary and desirable, the thus-rolled slab or sheet is subjected to cold rolling and annealing.

  • Patent number: 3965483
Abstract: A tape recording apparatus comprises a first mechanism capable of varying, between a maximum and a minimum length, a tape travel path extending between a recording and reproducing head and a tape take-up roll. A second mechanism controls the first mechanism so that the length of the tape travel path becomes the maximum length at the time of ordinary recording and at the time of editing. The length of the tape travel path becomes the minimum length at the time of a pause mode prior to the editing recording. A third mechanism pulls back the tape by a length equal to the difference between the maximum and minimum lengths, at the time of the pause mode, of the tape path between the tape roll on the tape supply side and the recording and reproducing head. A fourth mechanism detects when the first mechanism reaches substantially maximum tape length at the time of the editing recording mode, and causes the start of editing recording by the recording and reproducing head.

  • Patent number: 3938756
Abstract: An automatically loading recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprises a mechanism which operates at the time of loading. The mechanism draws a tape from a tape cassette and loads it along a specific tape traveling path. At the time of unloading, the mechanism pulls the tape back into the tape cassette. A mechanism locks a fast-forward or rewinding manipulation mechanism so that a driving mechanism cannot be operated when the manipulation mechanism is operated and locked. The locking mechanism activates the apparatus in a tape fast-forward or rewinding operation upon completion of the unloading operation.
