  • Patent number: 5952129
Abstract: A process of making a color filter includes a first step of producing a master having a plurality of ink charging recesses arranged in a given pattern, a second step of charging ink of preselected colors into the ink charging recesses to form an ink layer, a third step of forming a resin layer over the master into which the ink have been charged and a fourth step of separating the ink layer and the resin layer together from the master after these layers have been cured.

  • Patent number: 5705302
Abstract: A color filter for a liquid crystal display device comprises an optically transparent substrate, a transparent conductive layer formed on the substrate, and a color layer formed on the transparent conductive layer with red, green and blue pixels arranged in a predetermined pattern. The color layer comprises pigments for coloring purpose and transparent conductive particles having a hydrophobic surface. The transparent conductive particles are included from 5% to 50% by volume of the color layer. The color layer may preferably have a specific resistivity of from 10.sup.-1 .OMEGA..multidot.cm to 10.sup.8 .OMEGA..multidot.cm. The transparent conductive particles comprise base transparent conductive particles having a hydrophobic compound bound on their surface by coupling or graft polymerization.

  • Patent number: 5391589
Abstract: A contact lens is made by graft polymerization of a contact lens surface by introducing a peroxide on a contact lens substrate surface by a discharging treatment producing a radical and by adding an appropriate amount of a reducing agent to the polymerization system and removing dissolved oxygen in the polymerization system by applying ultrasonic waves under reduced pressure.
