    Abstract: A member includes a first metallic region made of a first material; a second metallic region made of a second material that is a different from the first material; and a mix region made of mixture of the first and second materials between the first and second metallic region. In a cross-sectional view, an interface between the first metallic region and the mix region is represented by a line having a first curved line protruding toward the first metallic region and a second curved line protruding toward the first metallic region, and an angle at a cross point of the first and second curved lines, the angle being made by a tangent line of the first curved line and a tangent line of the second curved line in a region of the first metallic region, is equal to or larger than 70 degrees and smaller than 180 degrees.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an alloy, an alloy powder, an alloy member, and a composite member which are excellent in corrosion resistance and wear resistance, have crack resistance, and are suitable for an additive manufacturing method and the like. An alloy and an alloy powder include, by mass %, Cr: 18 to 22%, Mo: 18 to 28%, Ta: 1.5 to 57%, C: 1.0 to 2.5%, Nb: 0 to 42%, Ti: 0 to 15%, V: 0 to 27%, Zr: 0 to 29%, and a remainder consisting of Ni and unavoidable impurities, where a molar ratio of (Ta+0.7Nb+Ti+0.6V+Zr)/C=0.5 to 1.5 is satisfied. An alloy member is an additively manufactured product or a cast having such a solidification structure, and the solidification structure is a dendrite-like crystal structure having a metal phase having a face-centered cubic structure and carbides.

    Abstract: An object is to provide an alloy composition that has a sufficient melting point for casting of an aluminum alloy, also has high hardness, and can suppress an occurrence of galling. The alloy composition of the present invention includes: a Mo—Cr-based dendritic structure 3; and a Ni—Al-based interdendritic structure 5 that fills a periphery of the Mo—Cr-based dendritic structure 3. The alloy composition of the present invention can adopt a chemical composition I in which when Mo+Cr+Ni+Al=100 at. % holds, Ni+Al=15 to 50 at. % and Mo+Cr=50 to 85 at. % hold; or a chemical composition II in which Ni+Al=40 to 70 at. % and Mo+Cr=30 to 60 at. % hold.

    Abstract: In a converting device having two sets of converters, each of which includes planar type semiconductor controlled rectifier elements connected in a bridge configuration, with the converters being connected to a load, in a reverse-parallel configuration, so that the anode of one element is connected to the cathode of its parallel connected element, cooling fins are interposed between the planar type semiconductor controlled rectifier elements so that an individual cooling fin serves to cool directly adjacent elements disposed along the same axis in series with each other. As a result, the number of cooling fins can be sharply reduced. The converting device is especially effective for normal and reverse switching operations of a d.c. motor.
