Abstract: A loading apparatus for selectively taking out a sheet film from among sheet films accommodated in a plurality of magazines and loading the sheet film into a cassette. The sheet taken out from the magazine is adapted to be held in a holding device in a curved state. In a holding section, the sheet film is received from a lower end thereof and is taken out from an upper end thereof so as to be loaded into the cassette. Hence, even if there are a multiplicity of magazines, the film can be fetched speedily and loaded into the cassette, and the apparatus can be made compact. The magazine is drawn out from the apparatus body in a cantilevered manner so as to load the films, thereby facilitating the loading operation.

Abstract: Colored dihydroxydiphenylsulfone obtained by a reaction between phenol and sulfuric acid is treated with activated carbon and a hydrotalcite compound in a mixed solvent comprising methanol and water at a weight ratio of from 10/90 to 60/40. According to this process, colored dihydroxydiphenylsulfone can be industrially advantageously purified at a high efficiency.

At least one rotatable bearing is operatively coupled to the arm member and rollingly movable in a guide groove having at least one curved or bent guide opening. The bearing is movable by a slider in and along the guide opening to angularly move the arm member and hence the suction cups for thereby swaying and feeding a sheet held by the suction cups.

Abstract: An automatic image developing apparatus for automatically developing an image recorded on a photographic photosensitive material includes a feeder assembly for feeding the photographic photosensitive material successively to processing tanks for developing the image, fixing the developed image, and washing the photographic photosensitive material. The feeder assembly has at least one conduit for supplying cleaning water to remove processing solutions from the feeder assembly. The conduit has small holes or slits defined in its outer peripheral wall for ejecting cleaning water against guide plates and rollers of the feeder assembly.

Abstract: A light beam scanning system two-dimensionally scans a recording medium with a light beam to record image information on or read out recorded image information from a recording medium such as a stimulable phosphor sheet. The light beam scanning system includes a main scanning light deflector for deflecting a light beam in a main scnning direction, an auxiliary scanning light deflector angularly movable about an axis for deflecting the light beam in an auxiliary scanning direction normal to the main scanning direction, and an image-forming lens disposed between the main and auxiliary scanning light deflectors. The recording medium is supported by a recording medium support and scanned with the light beam deflected by the main and auxiliary scanning light deflectors. The recording medium support includes an arcuate support surface having a center of curvature substantially aligned with the axis of angular movement of the auxiliary scanning light deflector.

Abstract: An image recording and developing apparatus includes an image recording unit for scanning a photographic photosensitive material with a light beam modulated by image information to record an image on the photographic photosensitive material, and an automatic image developing unit coupled to the image recording unit for automatically developing the image recorded on the photographic photosensitive material which as been fed from the image recording unit. The image recording unit and the automatic image developing unit are coupled to each other as a unitary assembly.
