    Abstract: PROBLEM: To provide a large device and a method which is advantageous for forming a large-area amorphous film. SOLUTION: A device of the invention sprays a flame including a particulate material with a spraying machine toward a substrate, melts the material with the flame, and cools the material and flame by cooling gas before they reach the substrate to form an amorphous film. The spraying machine has particulate material spraying ports and flame spraying ports such that the flame including the material has an oblong cross section. Inert gas spraying ports are successively placed on both sides across the ports of the material and flame. Mist spraying ports are successively placed on both sides across the ports for the material, flame and inert gas. A skirt is attached/detached depending on a combustion gas or a film width to restrain film width narrowing and increase of film thickness deviation.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of improving productivity in a print job mixedly involving single-sided printing and double-sided printing. Sheets are fed one by one to an image forming section. When double-sided printing is to be performed, a sheet having an image formed on the first side thereof by the image forming section is re-fed thereto so as to have an image formed on the second side thereof. When a sheet for double-sided printing exists, which is posterior in page order to a sheet for single-sided printing, an image forming order is changed such that the first side of the sheet for double-sided printing is subjected to image formation prior to the sheet for single-sided printing. When it is predicted that a state will occur in which the sheet for single-sided printing cannot be fed, the image forming order is not changed.

A second embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a ketone, an oxime and an amide compound are purified by hydrogenation and/or crystallization for eliminating impurities containing a double bond. A third embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that a content of impurities having a cyclic bridge structure is controlled by using a cycloalkanone purified by recrystallization.

    Abstract: An image forming device includes: an image forming section, a fixing unit, an oscillation mechanism and a controller. The image forming section forms an image on paper. The fixing unit thermally fixes the image on the paper by using a fixing rotating member to pinch and convey the paper. The oscillation mechanism oscillates at least the entire fixing rotating member of the fixing unit in an axis direction thereof. The controller determines an oscillation quantity of the fixing rotating member based on rigidity of the paper in a state where the paper is pinched and conveyed by the fixing rotating member and another rotating member at the same time, and oscillates the fixing rotating member using the oscillation mechanism with the determined oscillation quantity. The controller determines the oscillation quantity of the fixing rotating member to be reduced as rigidity of the paper becomes lower.
