    Abstract: A heating apparatus includes a central support axle positioned within a heating chamber of the heating apparatus. The heating apparatus provides both hot-air heating and micro-wave heating. A turntable has a central portion supported by the central support axle so that the turntable is rotated around the central support axle. A driving source is positioned at an upper side of the heating chamber for generating a rotating torque, and a connecting shaft for transmitting the rotating torque generated by the driving source to the turntable is provided in the heating chamber. The turntable has an entirely flat shaped section including a plane on which food products to be heated are mounted. A central portion of the flat shaped section is defined at a concave which is downwardly recessed into the plane and arranged to be fixed to and supported by the central support axis.

    Abstract: The slide support base 62 protrudes from the supporting wall 56 of the support recess 52 in the casing main body 14 and the tube-shaped support part 122 on the side of the toilet lid 100 is supported by and capable of sliding over its cylindrical surface 65a. The rotational pin 70 of the viscous resistance mechanism 80 protrudes from slide support base 62 and the rotational pin 70 fits in the fitting recess 132 on the side of the toilet lid 100. That is, the toilet lid 100 is pivotably supported to the casing main body 14 by two support structures. To remove the toilet lid 100 from the casing main body 14, the toilet lid is raised to the upright position and then applied with upward force to be pulled out. Since the opening 124 and the opening 136 are formed in the tube-shaped support part 122 and the fitting recess 132, the toilet lid 100 is removed from the casing main body through them.

    Abstract: There are provided a semiconductor device, which includes an element isolating oxide film having a good upper flatness, and a method of manufacturing the same. Assuming that t.sub.G represents a thickness of a gate electrode layer 6, a height t.sub.U to an upper surface of a thickest portion of element isolating oxide film 4 from an upper surface of a gate insulating film 5 and an acute angle .theta.i defined between the upper surfaces of element isolating oxide film 4 and gate insulating film are set within ranges expressed by the formula of {.theta.i, t.sub.U .linevert split.0.ltoreq..theta.i.ltoreq.56.6.degree., 0.ltoreq.t.sub.U .ltoreq.0.82t.sub.G }. Thereby, an unetched portion does not remain at an etching step for patterning the gate electrode layer to be formed later. This prevents short-circuit of the gate electrode. Since the element isolating oxide film has the improved flatness, a quantity of overetching in an active region can be reduced at a step of patterning the gate electrode.

    Abstract: A monotube or multitube 2 is coupled to a body shell 1 via tube plates 3a and 3b at both ends, so that a tube interior 4 and a tube exterior 5 of the monotube or multitube 2 are isolated from each other. A difference is made in operating pressure between the tube interior 4 and the tube exterior 5, so that one of the tube interior 4 and the tube exterior 5 is used as a lower-pressure column and the other is used as a higher-pressure column. A wall of the tube is used as a heat transfer surface, so that heat is transferred from the higher pressure side (higher temperature side) to the lower pressure side (lower temperature side).

    Abstract: A voice recognizing method apparatus in which an input voice is recognized by obtaining a similar pattern by comparing the input voice and voice standard patterns. Voice standard patterns are stored into a memory. A voice is inputted. Voice duration lengths and distances are calculated by performing matching processes between the input voice and the standard patterns. The distance is corrected in accordance with the voice duration length so that the voice duration length having the best matching result is used as a reference, or such that the distance is small as the voice duration length is long. A recognition result is determined in accordance with the corrected distance. The matching is executed by a word spotting method. The input voice to be matched and the voice standard patterns are expressed by voice characteristic parameters.

    Abstract: An object is irradiated with respective cone-beam like X-rays from first and second directions. For each of the first and second directions are produced mask and live images as respective projection images of the object before and after a contrast medium reaches an interested part of the object. Then, subtraction of the mask image from the live image is made in conjunction with each of the first and second directions. The resulting subtraction image assumes a projection image of the distribution of the contrast medium in the interested part taken in the corresponding direction. The respective projection widths of such projection images of the contrast medium distribution are determined to generate an ellipse defined by the projection widths. The shape of this ellipse is corrected in accordance with individual data values in the projection images of the contrast medium, thereby providing a corrected shape accurately resembling the actual shape of the interested part of the object.

    Abstract: The movement of a lid such as for a cassette holder in a cassette tape recorder is moderated by a device comprising only two component parts. At least one disc which is interlocked with a roller held in frictional engagement with part of the lid is contained together with damping oil within a housing composed of a pair of halved portions connected to each other through the medium of a hinge. The moderation of the lid movement is accomplished by the damping oil functioning to slow the rotation of the roller.
