  • Patent number: 6824723
Abstract: A molding and tentatively retaining mold 10 of the invention has a plurality of molds which are relatively movable with respect to a fixed mold, and molds a housing 31 and rear holders 32 and 33, which are respectively independent, in a plurality of cavities formed in cooperation with the fixed mold. When the rear holders 32 and 33 are relatively moved with respect to the housing 31 by a pair of rear-holder tentatively retaining cylinders 19 after molding, and are tentatively retained, the amount of movement of a pair of third movable molds 14 is set to be greater by a predetermined amount than an amount of movement necessary for tentatively retaining the rear holders 32 and 33, and the third movable molds 14 after movement are stopped at the moved positions until a predetermined time elapses.

  • Patent number: 6638047
Abstract: A molding machine comprising an injection portion with an injection nozzle which injects a molding material, a turntable comprising a rotation driving apparatus, a plurality of molds placed along a peripheral edge of the turntable, an attaching and detaching station, an injection station and a plurality of curing stations. Each mold comprises a material receiving port communicating with the injection nozzle when the mold is positioned at the injection station. Each mold further comprises a mechanism which close the material receiving port so as to prevent the molding material from flowing backward when the mold is separated from the injection nozzle. The molds are transferred by rotation of the turntable to each station one by one. Primary formed products are attached to the molds at the attaching and detaching station, injected at the injection station, cured to be second formed products at the curing stations and finally took out at the attaching and detaching station.

When rear holders 32 and 33 after molding are relatively moved with respect to a housing 31 by movable molds 12 and 15 and are tentatively retained, a runner 20 for a cavity for molding the housing 31 is kept connected to the housing 31 through a tunnel gate 20a. In addition, a portion 15a of the fourth movable mold 15 for forming the cavity in the housing 31 is kept fitted to the housing 31 as it was during molding.

  • Patent number: 6536108
Abstract: In a production apparatus (1), after rear holders (7a, 7b) and a housing body (8) are molded by molding die cavities, slides (11a, 11b) are moved apart from the housing body (8). Then, cylinders (16a, 16b) are driven to move the rear holders (7a, 7b), holders (13a, 13b) and the slides (11a, 11b) together with slide plates (14a, 14b), so that the rear holders (7a, 7b) are located in opposed relation to the housing body (8). Then, cylinders (19a, 19b) are driven to move the rear holders (7a, 7b) toward the housing body (8), thereby provisionally retaining the rear holders (7a, 7b) on the housing body (8). Therefore, the amount of movement of the slides (11a, 11b) is small, and it is not necessary to provide any space for holding the slides (11a, 11b), moved into their respective stand-by positions, and therefore the small-size design of the production apparatus can be achieved, and also the production efficiency can be enhanced.
