The seesaw-type switch is inward of the dial-type switch and across a center of the dial-type switch and allows the seat occupant to perform a frontward and rearward displacement adjustments of the seat depending on a pushed position. The button-type switches are inward of the dial-type switch and on both sides of the seesaw-type switch, and allow the seat occupant to perform tilt-up and tilt-down adjustments of a front portion of a seat cushion and lift-up and lift-down adjustments of a rear portion of the seat cushion depending on which button-type manual switch is pushed.

The change in geometric dimensions is converted into a repulsive force in the kinetic mechanism, thereby (1) making the repulsive force from a balanced position of the two permanent magnets greater at the time of output than at the time of input, or (2) deriving a damping term of the magnetic spring to provide nonlinear damping and spring characteristics.

    Abstract: Fission noble metals contained in an insoluble residue and/or a high-level radioactive liquid waste generated in the step of reprocessing spent nuclear fuels are dissolved in nitric acid to prepare a palladium-containing nitric acid solution, which is then brought into liquid-liquid contact with an extracting solvent containing a dialkyl sulfide in which each alkyl group has 4 to 10 carbon atoms as an extractant to extract the palladium component into the extracting solvent. The palladium-containing extracting solvent is brought into liquid-liquid contact with an aqueous thio compound solution or aqueous ammonia solution to strip the palladium component into the aqueous solution. A borohydride compound in added to the palladium-containing aqueous solution to precipitate palladium from this solution by reduction, and metallic palladium is recovered by separating the precipitate from the aqueous solution.

    Abstract: At least an equivalent amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid is added to antimony trioxide containing a substance emitting alpha rays, and they are stirred. Any undissolved residue is removed to prepare an aqueous solution of antimony chloride. Water is added to the solution, or a distillate obtained by distilling it at a temperature of at least 135.degree. C. The quantity of the water is at least 10 times by volume as much as the solution, or at least 20 times by volume as much as the distillate. The solution or distillate and the water are stirred at a temperature of at least 60.degree. C. to cause precipitation of antimony trioxide, and the precipitate is separated by filtration. The precipitate is washed with at least 10 times by weight as much warm water having a temperature of 60.degree. C., and dried. This antimony trioxide has an alpha-ray strength not exceeding 0.01 C/cm.sup.
