Abstract: To readily identify a document to which an advertisement is desired to be attached and to reduce the burden on an advertisement submitter, a server device is provided in an advertisement providing system including an advertisement submitter terminal for inputting an advertisement, a user terminal for displaying articles, wherein the server device causes the user terminal to display an advertisement with an article. The server device includes a transmitting unit transmitting information specifying a plurality of candidate articles to the advertisement submitter terminal to display the candidate articles, a receiving unit receiving from the advertisement submitter terminal information specifying at least one candidate article selected from the plurality of the candidate articles, and a sending unit sending the advertisement to the user terminal when an article similar to the selected candidate article is displayed in the user terminal, to display the advertisement on the user terminal with the similar article.

A reception device receives a digital broadcast program and EIT and generates program attribute information according to the information associated with the series contained in EIT. Upon reception of a write-into-DVD instruction of a recorded digital broadcast program in a program recording region inputted by a user via UI, a write control device integrates the program attribute information in the program attribute information storage region, the write-into-DVD history information in the write-into-DVD history information storage region, and the DVD information obtained from the DVD drive, so as to judge whether write into DVD is enabled. The write control device presents the judgment information to the user via UI and controls write of the recorded digital broadcast program into the DVD according to the user instruction input information acquired via the UI.

Abstract: In digital broadcasting, a stream signal includes a data stream in data broadcasting, and a video data stream and an audio data stream in main broadcasting, which streams are combined. A recording/reproducing apparatus includes a storage unit; a read/write section configured to access the storage unit; a separating section configured to separate the data stream from the stream signal in a real time mode and a record mode, and to output a combined data stream of the video data stream and the audio data stream to the read/write section in the record mode; and a processing section configured to receive the data stream from the separating section in the real time mode and the record mode and to output a data corresponding to the data stream to the read/write section in the record mode. The read/write section records the combined data stream in the storage unit and the data in the storage unit independently from the combined data stream.

Abstract: A remote control system includes a plurality of control object terminals connected with the first network, a control server connected the first network and a second network to control the control object terminal and a remote control terminal connected with the second network. The remote control terminal issues a control request for a specific terminal of the plurality of control object terminals to the control server through the second network. The control server identifies the remote control terminal uniquely in response to the control request and carries out the control request in place of the remote control terminal when the remote control right of the specific terminal is allocated to the remote control terminal.
