Abstract: Disclosed is a method for measuring activated partial thromboplastin time, the method comprising: mixing: a blood sample; a first reagent comprising an ellagic acid compound and a compound represented by Formula (I); and a second regent comprising a calcium ion; and measuring activated partial thromboplastin time using the mixture prepared in the mixing step, wherein the compound represented by Formula (I) is shown below wherein X is a hydrogen atom, —(C?O)—Y, or —(C?O)—OZ, Y is a hydroxyl group, a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 or more and 6 or less, or a phenyl group, and Z is an alkali metal.

Abstract: An electric power steering system includes a rack housing configured to accommodate a rack shaft, a pinion shaft meshed with the rack shaft, a speed-reducer including a worm wheel connected to a portion of the second pinion shaft protruding from the rack housing, a speed-reducer housing configured to accommodate the speed-reducer, and a seal member having an annular shape. The seal member is disposed closer to the second pinion gear than the worm wheel is, in the speed-reducer housing. The sear member seals a clearance between the second pinion shaft and the speed-reducer housing.

Abstract: A wearable terminal calculates an acceleration amount in the vertical direction by using an acceleration value. The wearable terminal calculates a change amount in an atmospheric pressure value by using atmospheric pressure values. Further, the wearable terminal multiplies the acceleration amount in the vertical direction by the change amount in the atmospheric pressure value. After that, the wearable terminal detects a change amount in the vertical direction on the basis of the calculated multiplication result. For example, when the multiplication result is a positive value, the wearable terminal sets the change amount in the vertical direction as “0”. When the multiplication result is a negative value, the wearable terminal sets the multiplication result as the change amount in the vertical direction.
