Abstract: An IP telephone terminal outputs a call request for communication with a prescribed terminal and, if it is determined that connection failed, records the input voice. Thereafter, the IP telephone terminal determines that the prescribed telephone terminal has reached a state connectable through IP network, outputs a call request for communication with the prescribed terminal and if connection is determined to be established, transmits the recorded voice to the prescribed terminal.

Abstract: The present invention provides a digital/analog broadcast receiver capable of satisfying the needs of a viewer attached to analog broadcasting. When analog broadcasting cannot be received, the viewer is allowed to select whether a search to check if a station of analog broadcasting can be tuned is performed or not. When the viewer selects to perform the search, the search is performed on all of channels of analog broadcasting. When all of the channels cannot be tuned, the viewer is again allowed to select if the search is performed again or the mode is switched to a digital reception mode. When the search is selected again and, as a result of the search, the channels of analog broadcasting cannot be tuned, a message of notifying of the termination of analog broadcasting and a message prompting the viewer to select if the mode is switched to the digital reception mode are displayed on a screen. When the switch to the digital reception mode is selected, tuning of digital broadcasting is executed.

Abstract: There is provided a wedding ceremony information distribution system for playing photographs taken in a wedding ceremony and names of participants, in a wedding reception hall. The system includes: a camera for imaging the wedding ceremony; a video image projection device for playing a video image edited/processed according to the image picked up; a computer terminal arranged in the wedding reception hall for transmitting the picked-up image data to an edition/distribution center so as to create moving picture data edited/processed by adding names of the participants in the wedding reception, illustrations, and animation, again receiving the data in the wedding reception hall so as to write video image onto a recording medium and reproducing/playing it by a video image projection device; and an edition/distribution center connected to a communication line for editing/processing the picked-up image data.

Abstract: In each of remote control devices making mutual communications, a viewing station detector detects a viewing station that is a TV station currently tuned in a device controlled by the remote control device in question, and provides a viewing station information. The remote control device receives the current viewing station information from the remote control devices, and compiles the received information together with its own current viewing station information. A rating calculator calculates the rating of the TV station based on the compiled information, and a display displays the result of the calculation.

Abstract: A selection operation of a designated channel for a broadcast signal received via an antenna is performed, so that the broadcast signal of the designated channel is detected and the detected broadcast signal is output to a monitor via a video IC and the like. When the power of a microcomputer is turned on (power supply is started), the microcomputer causes a tuner to perform a channel-selection operation for the channel that has been selected at the time of most recent turn-off of the power (power supply stop). As a result of the channel-selection operation, if the tuner cannot detect the broadcast signal of the channel, the microcomputer displays an image of that channel (an image where an video image is not shown) on the monitor and thereafter displays an image for notifying a user of a measure to be taken through an OSD circuit.

Abstract: A broadcasting receiver of the present invention includes a tuning section and a control section. The tuning section receives a broadcasting signal corresponding to a selected channel. The control section selects a channel selected when the power was turned off most recently when the power is turned on, and displays a plurality of measures to be taken when there is no broadcasting signal on the selected channel.

Abstract: In a television receiver with an optical disk reproducing function, when reproduction of an optical disk ends and stops in an optical disk reproducing part and a screen saver operates, a main control part detects the operation of the screen saver and counts up a timer. When an operation input is not done for a predetermined time period, control is performed so as to stop electric power supply to the optical disk reproducing part. Then, when a power source of the optical disk reproducing part is stopped, the main control part stops power supply to the other parts of the receiver and the receiver shifts to a wait state.
