  • Patent number: 4922752
Abstract: A flatness integrating/recording apparatus of the present invention includes a car than can travel on a road surface, a device associated with the wheel of the car for calculating the travelled distance of the car, and an optical road surface irregularities measuring device provided on the car. The data obtained from these devices is processed by first and second signal processing portions so as to calculate the travelled distance and the irregularities of the road surface. The data output from the first and second signal processing portions is supplied to a display device and to a data storage portion. A set value inputting device for setting measuring conditions is provided in the tractor portion of the car. The output of the set value inputting device is supplied to the second signal processing portion.

  • Patent number: 4878754
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for measuring any irregularity on a road surface by applying a beam onto a measuring point on the road surface and detecting any change in the vertical position of the center of the beam spot formed on the road surface thereby obtaining data concerning the irregularity on the road surface. The beam spot on the road surface is detected by a unidimensional CCD sensor and the position of the center of the beam spot is determined from the output of the unidimensional CCD sensor. The thus obtained data concerning the position of the center of the spot is suitably processed so that data concerning the irregularity on the road surface is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4809426
Abstract: A memory is built in a tool holder to which a working tool such as drill or the like is attached. Various tool information such as kind of tool, dimensions of tool, tool use time, and the like is written into the memory. The tool holder having the memory therein is coupled with an external unit by contactless coupling means which doesn't need any electrical coupling, thereby allowing the tool information to be written into or read out of the memory. The information is transmitted between the memory in the tool holder and the external unit by way of the optical or magnetical coupling. The memory built in the tool holder consists of a non-volatile memory such that the memory content is not erased even if the power supply is shut off.

  • Patent number: 4706703
Abstract: A linear solenoid-type flow control valve with a valve element position feedback loop. An input consisting of an analog command signal is supplied in the form of a serial digital signal from a modulating transmitter through an optical fiber transmission line. An actuator operating driving circuit, a receiving demodulator for reconverting the light signal from the transmission line to the serial digital signal and further to the analog command signal and supplying it to the driving circuit, a differential transformer for detecting an operated position of a control valve element and a feedback circuit from the differential transformer are integrally mounted on the coupling component of the control valve element and its actuator and in this way the component parts at the receiving side are arranged as close as possible with respect to one another.
