  • Publication number: 20110014408
Abstract: A molten polypropylene having tacticity expressed in terms of an isotactic pentad fraction of 95 mol % or more is flowed. The molten-polypropylene is cooled to a temperature range of ?200 degrees C. to 50 degrees C. and maintained at the above temperature for 0.1 second to 100 seconds, thereby providing a rapidly-cooled polypropylene higher order structure of which main constituents are a mesophase or monoclinic crystal domain having a size of 100 nm or less and an amorphous phase. The rapidly-cooled polypropylene higher order structure is heated to a temperature range in which endothermic transition occurs and that is equal to or lower than a melting temperature of polypropylene to be heat-treated.

  • Publication number: 20020079617
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for thermoforming a thermoplastic blank (10) into a plastic container (1) having a cup-shaped main body (2) with a radially extending flange (3). A blank holder (12) is conveyed by a conveyor (15) along a predetermined path of travel in a predetermined direction. During one circulation, a plurality of blanks are supplied by a blank feeder (16) to the blank holder, a central portion (10a) of each blank is heated by direct contact with upper and lower heating boards (19a, 19b) of heating unit (18) to preferably above a melting point of the blank material, then the heated portion is formed into the cup-shaped main body by a forming unit (20), then a peripheral portion (10b) is annealed by a flange annealing unit (26), and finally the product containers are removed from the blank holder by a pick-up unit (28). The vacant blank holder (12″) is returned to the blank feed station. An annular ridge (3a) or skirt flange (3b) may be formed, preferably at the flange annealing station.

  • Patent number: 5701996
Abstract: A snap-fastener bag according to the present invention is composed of a quadrilateral bag body, a deaerating passage provided along a bottom-seal and a snap fastener provided along the opening. The deaerating passage is provided by configurating a deaerating passage opening as a non-adhesive part through one side-seal and along the bottom-seal and by configurating an adhesive part near the bottom of the side-seal to near the other side-seal positioned at a predetermined interval from the bottom-seal in parallel to adhere between the top and bottom films. A paint film coated with a sticky substance having the kinematic-viscosity of 4-5,000.times.10.sup.-6 m.sup.2 /s (100.degree. C.) such as polybutene is applied in the deaerating passage.

  • Patent number: 5167900
Abstract: A multilayer container with a flange for sealing with a lid, wherein the thickness of the inner surface layer at the inner edge of the flange is thinner than that in the sealing area, is produced by a method wherein a circular portion of a multilayer sheet to be the flange is held at a certain pressure while the multilayer sheet is being thermoformed under specified molding conditions, with the other portion than the circular portion being stretched. Even a seal ring having an even surface serves as a means for sealing the resulting multilayer container with a lid while ensuring easy openability.
