    Abstract: According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a terminal station device in a passive optical communication network in which the terminal station device and a subscriber line termination device are connected to each other, the terminal station device including: a distance measurement unit that measures a distance between the terminal station device and the subscriber line termination device; a signal intensity measurement unit that measures an intensity of a signal received from the subscriber line termination device; and an estimation unit that estimates an occurrence of a sign of a failure in the subscriber line termination device based on a measurement result of the distance by the distance measurement unit and a measurement result of the intensity of the signal by the signal intensity measurement unit.

    Abstract: A measurement system according to the present embodiment includes a work tool, a sensor unit, an acquisition unit, a change unit, and a calculation unit. The work tool has a tread board with a variable width. The sensor unit is provided in the work tool. The acquisition unit acquires, from the sensor unit, time-series data on gravity center sway of a worker, in a state where the worker is standing on the tread board. The change unit reduces the width of the tread board in response to a trigger. The calculation unit calculates, from the time-series data, an evaluation value for the gravity center sway of the worker, for each width of the tread board.

The EGR valve opening degree deriving unit is configured to derive an opening degree of the EGR valve on a basis of an engine speed, an engine load, and a tumble generation valve opening and closing rate. The EGR valve control unit is configured to drive and control the EGR valve to achieve the opening degree derived by the EGR valve opening degree deriving unit.
