Patent number: 9543045Abstract: A nuclear reactor provided with a core including a new fuel part which contains uranium and a burning part in which fuel burns, wherein the burning part moves in a direction toward the new fuel part from the beginning to end of the operation cycle. The nuclear reactor is provided with a reactivity applying mechanism to apply the reactivity which can change the power of the core when the temperature of the coolant which flows through the inside of the core changes and performs control to change the temperature of the coolant which flows through the inside of the core in accordance with the change of power which is demanded for the core. The reactivity applying mechanism includes a gap adjusting plate which supports fuel members. This plate is configured to expand when the core coolant temperature rises. The expansion increases distance between the fuel members.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2012Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventor: Hiroshi Sekimoto

Publication number: 20130322588Abstract: A nuclear reactor provided with a core which is provided with a new fuel part which contains uranium and a burning part in which fuel burns, wherein power is generated by fission of plutonium and wherein the burning part moves in a direction toward the new fuel part from the beginning to end of the operation cycle. The nuclear reactor is provided with a reactivity applying mechanism to apply the reactivity which can change the power of the core when the temperature of the coolant which flows through the inside of the core changes and performs control to change the temperature of the coolant which flows through the inside of the core in accordance with the change of power which is demanded for the core.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2012Publication date: December 5, 2013Applicant: TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventor: Hiroshi Sekimoto

Publication number: 20130294559Abstract: A nuclear reactor is provided with a core which includes a new fuel part and a burning part at which neutrons are generated and fuel is burned. The burning part moves in a direction toward the new fuel part from the beginning to the end of the combustion cycle. The plurality of the fuel assemblies of the core include the fuel assemblies which are fastened to the core and the fuel assemblies which can move in the longitudinal direction of the fuel assemblies. By pulling out the fuel assemblies from the core, the nuclear reactor can be made to stop. Further, by inserting fuel assemblies into the core from the pulled out state, the nuclear reactor is started up.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2012Publication date: November 7, 2013Inventor: Hiroshi Sekimoto

Patent number: 8529134Abstract: An inner ring contact member is mounted on a rotation shaft to be disposed at a lower side of an inner ring in a vertical direction such that a larger-diameter end of a conical outer peripheral surface abuts against an axial end surface of the inner ring. The conical outer peripheral surface is formed such that the larger-diameter end of the conical outer peripheral surface is disposed radially inwardly of a radially outward edge of the end surface of the inner ring. A cage is disposed between the inner ring and an outer ring in such a manner that a first annular portion of the cage close to the conical outer peripheral surface is disposed so as to overlap with the end surface of the inner ring in the radial direction.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2007Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: JTEKT CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Sekimoto, Masaaki Ohtsuki

Patent number: 7786637Abstract: A calcium zinc phosphate-type coating is formed on at least one of those surfaces of an inner ring, an outer ring and rolling elements (balls) and further a cage (if the cage is used) (which form a touchdown bearing) contacting other members, and further a molybdenum disulfide coating is formed thereon. By doing so, the adhesion of the molybdenum disulfide coating is enhanced by microscopic pits and projections due to crystal grains on the surface of the calcium zinc phosphate-type coating, and also even when the molybdenum disulfide coating is worn out, the wearing-out of a substrate can be suppressed by the lubricating ability of the calcium zinc phosphate-type coating underlying it.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2005Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: JTEKT CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Sekimoto, Akira Koyama, Masaaki Ootsuki

Patent number: 7712967Abstract: In an outer ring, a first ball filling slot which extends from a first raceway groove to a first end face of one side of an axial direction is formed, and in an inner ring, a second raceway groove and a second ball filling slot which extends from the second raceway groove to a second end face of one side of the axial direction are formed. Circumferential extension grooves which extend from one of the first ball filling slot and the second ball filling slot by a predetermined length in a circumferential direction at the opposite sides of the circumferential direction of the ball filling slot and extend from the first raceway groove to the first end face in the axial direction are formed.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2007Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: JTEKT CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Sekimoto, Masaaki Ohtsuki, Akira Koyama
