Publication number: 20140368095Abstract: [Problem] To allow for an increase in the output of an energy conversion device having a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in a ring shape. [Solution] A cover (3) is attached to a ring-shaped magnet holder (2) in which permanent magnets (1) are housed. An extended portion of the cover (3) is supported by a wheel (6). The wheel (6) is in contact with the extended portion of the cover (3) and the bottom surface of a case (5). Thereby, the magnet holder (2) can be rotated lightly even when the weight of the magnet holder (2) increases with the increase in the number of the permanent magnets (1) housed in the magnet holder (2). Thus, an energy conversion device (100) can produce more energy from the energy supplied, and thereby enhance the output.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2013Publication date: December 18, 2014Inventors: Hiroshi SHINDO, Katsuyuki KAMIBAYASHI

Patent number: 8254083Abstract: There are provided a ceramic electronic component and a method for producing the ceramic electronic component, where a ground electrode layer can be directly coated with lead-free solder without lowering reliabilities. Terminal electrode 3 is provided with a ground electrode layer 21 of Cu having been formed by firing, a solder layer 22 formed of a lead-free solder based on five elements of Sn—Ag—Cu—Ni—Ge, and a diffusion layer 23 having been formed by the diffusion of Ni between the ground electrode layer 21 and the solder layer 22. Because the diffusion layer 23 of Ni is formed between the ground electrode layer 21 and the solder layer 22, the diffusion layer 23, which functions as a barrier layer, suppresses the solder leach of Cu from the ground electrode layer 21. The diffusion layer 23 of Ni can also suppress the growth of fragile intermetallic compounds of Sn—Cu. Therefore, a decrease in the bonding strength between the ground electrode layer 21 and the solder layer 22 can be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2010Date of Patent: August 28, 2012Assignee: TDK CorporationInventors: Takashi Sakurai, Shinya Yoshihara, Ko Onodera, Hisayuki Abe, Masahiko Konno, Satoshi Kurimoto, Hiroshi Shindo, Akihiro Horita, Genichi Watanabe, Yoshikazu Ito

Patent number: 6991513Abstract: The present invention relates to a lapping apparatus and a lapping method that may effect further machining in response to each element on a ceramic bar to the ceramic bar that is largely locally lapped and may reduce a cost needed for machining without any jig for holding the ceramic bar. The ceramic bar is held by a surface of an elastic member made of rubber or the like. A plurality of actuators are arranged on a back surface of this elastic member. When the ceramic bar is depressed against the lapping surface, a specific portion of the ceramic bar is deformed or strongly deformed through the elastic member by these actuators to thereby make it possible to perform the lapping in response to each element.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2001Date of Patent: January 31, 2006Assignee: TDK CorporationInventors: Kazushige Tohta, Hiroshi Shindo, Akio Ogawa, Osamu Fukuroi, Takashi Fujii
