  • Publication number: 20100314359
Abstract: A supply chute 11 has a nut send-in port 14 at its upper end, and is composed of an inclined chute 12 inclined obliquely downward, and a curved chute 13 coupled to the lower end of the inclined chute 12 and curved like an arc obliquely downward. A nut support mechanism 40 is disposed at a nut send-out port 15 provided at a terminal end of the curved chute 13, for supporting the nuts 60 being forwarded so that their bonding side 62 may be in an oblique downward position nearly orthogonal to the axial line of a guide rod 20. The inclined chute 12, the curved chute 13, the guide rod 20, and driving means 25 for moving the guide rod 20 back and forth in an oblique downward direction are mounted on a stand 22 installed rotatably on a support member 33 by way of a horizontal support shaft 35, and the support member 33 is coupled and fixed to a main body arm 2 of the bonding machine 1.

  • Publication number: 20100105490
Abstract: A manufacturing method of weld nut made of stainless steel plate capable of manufacturing a weld nut of a small size generally known as a micro-screw of thin type and nominal thread diameter of about M1.6 easily by blanking and processing a stainless steel plate, and a blanking punch to be used in this manufacturing method. The manufacturing method of weld nut made of stainless steel plate includes a step of blanking and processing a tap drill hole 22 in a stainless steel plate material 20 having a thickness nearly equal to the height of the nut, a step of forming a nut main body 23 by blanking a nut outer shape in the material 20 around the tap drill hole 22, and simultaneously forming a plurality of weld protrusions 24 in the outer circumference of the bottom of the nut main body 23, and a step of processing female threads 25 in the inner circumference of the tap drill hole 22 of the nut main body 23.

  • Patent number: 6357109
Abstract: An apparatus (10) has a punching station for automatic fixation of self-piercing fasteners (2) each having a stud (3), a flange-shaped head (4) and a cylindrical lug (5) at one end of the stud. With the fastener being struck to a metallic panel (1), the lug (5) pierces it and an open rim (6) of the lug is deformed by a caulking die (11) to firmly attach the fastener to the panel. The apparatus has a feeding section (28,29) for arranging the fasteners in a continuous horizontal row perpendicular to a pressing punch (12), with the lug (5) preceding the stud.

  • Publication number: 20010011039
Abstract: A nut punching apparatus has a striking punch (1), a caulking die (2), a nut feeding guide (10) having a punch passage (11) and a nut delivery opening (12) perpendicular to the passage, and a driving means (14) moving the guide along the punch. The nut ‘N’ fed through the opening is pushed into a transfer zone located ahead the punch (1) while the guide (10) is at its foremost position. This guide is retracted to its rearmost position to allow the punch to cooperate with the die (2) to punch the nut ‘N’ onto a metal plate ‘W’. The apparatus has a positioning pin (20) through the punch so that its fore end portion reciprocates taking a foraward position ahead the punch and a retracted position. The pin (20) penetrates a threaded bore of the nut ‘N’ at the transfer zone, such that the projected fore end portion of the pin (20) passing through the nut ‘N’ engages with a positioning aperture (30) formed in the metal plate ‘W’.

Abstract: A position regulating parts feeder has a rotary hopper (11) and a slanted chute (20) fixed in the hopper that has lift plates (12) secured to its inner periphery. The chute is composed of an upstream receiving section (21), a middle sorting section (22) and a downstream discharging section (23). A groove (51) formed in the upstream section has an open top and is of a depth enough to wholly embrace each of the parts (1) lying on its side such that its front and rear faces are oriented sideways. The side walls have upper oblique zones (31c) and (41c) to widen the groove towards its top. A path defined in the middle section and continuing from the groove is composed of a main passageway (53) extending to the downstream section for transfer of the regularly positioned parts, and an auxiliary passageway (54) branching off from the main one for transfer of the inverse parts to an outlet (35) formed in a bottom of the chute.
