  • Patent number: 8058361
Abstract: Provided is a polymer prepared by using a vegetable oil-derived component and favorably used as a polylactic acid resin-softening agent that is effective in softening the polylactic acid resin while preserving the transparency of the polylactic acid resin and simultaneously resistant to bleeding out (extraction) of itself from the polylactic acid resin. Also provided are a resin mixture of the resin composition and a polylactic acid resin as well as a film or sheet prepared by using the resin mixture. The polymer (C) according to the present invention has an epoxidized vegetable oil segment (A) and a polylactic acid segment (B). The resin mixture according to the present invention is a mixture of the polymer (C) and the polylactic acid resin (D) at a (C)/(D) ratio of 10/90 to 50/50 (weight ratio).

  • Publication number: 20110104437
Abstract: A vapor deposition film has a vapor deposition layer composed of a metal or an inorganic oxide formed on at least one side of a resin layer (A) which is composed of a resin composition (1). The resin composition (1) is a polyglycol acid containing not less than 70% by mole of a specific structure (a structure represented by formula (1)) as a repeating unit. The surface on which the vapor deposition layer is deposited has a center line average roughness of 5-50 nm. The vapor deposition film has excellent gas barrier properties, excellent workability and decomposition resistance sufficient for practical use.

  • Patent number: 7632897
Abstract: Poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions each contain an appropriate poly(lactic acid) polymer and a suitable plasticizer having a polyether and/or polyester segment in combination. The compositions exhibit satisfactory flexibility and show very small amount of the evaporation, migration and extraction (bleedout) of the plasticizer and losing transparency upon heating. The poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions are useful as formed plastics such as films.
