Patent number: 8412573Abstract: A method for distributing advertisement data to display terminal devices from a distribution server via a relay server. The relay server receives status notifications of the display terminal devices and transmits a tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the display terminal devices. The distribution server receiving status notifications and transmits the tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the relay server. The distribution server determines whether the reproduction schedule of the advertisement data has been changed and transmits a notification on a change. If the distribution server receives a request for acquisition of the as-changed reproduction schedule, the distribution server sends the as-changed reproduction schedule to the relay server. If the relay server determines that the reproduction schedule acquired from the distribution server has been changed, the relay server transmits the notification on the change of the reproduction schedule.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2011Date of Patent: April 2, 2013Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Takuji Maekawa, Yasuyuki Hattori, Masaki Takemura, Takahisa Hakoishi, Takashi Hosoda, Akira Yaegashi, Hiroshi Sugaya

Publication number: 20100121766Abstract: Advertisement video data in which coupon ID data attached to each of coupons is embedded as a watermark is distributed and reproduced; part of the video data provided by a display device (30) is captured by an image pickup section (41) of a mobile phone device (40), and the coupon ID data is extracted from the captured advertisement video data; the extracted coupon ID data is stored into a secure memory (48) that holds terminal ID data; the coupon ID data and the terminal ID data transmitted from the mobile phone device (40) are received; and a log in effect when each coupon related to the coupon ID data is identified and redeemed is transmitted to a coupon management device (60) whereby the terminal ID data and the redemption logs are managed in relation to the coupon ID data by the coupon management device (60). This makes it possible efficiently to distribute the coupons using the advertising media and to measure the effects of advertisement based on coupon use status.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 18, 2008Publication date: May 13, 2010Applicant: Sony CorporationInventors: Hiroshi Sugaya, Akira Yaegashi, Takashisa Hakoishi

Patent number: 6822694Abstract: According to the signal processing apparatus of the present invention, in a text signal processing circuit, predetermined signal processes are executed to a luminance signal Y and color difference signals U and V in which a ratio of sampling clocks is equal to (4:4:4) and resultant signals are supplied to a mixing circuit. In a video signal processing circuit, predetermined signal processes are executed to the signals Y, U, and V in which a ratio of sampling clocks is equal to (4:1:1) or (4:2:2). The signal Y is supplied to the mixing circuit through a delay adjusting circuit and the high frequency components are removed from the signals U and V by a band limiting filter and, after that, the resultant signals are supplied to the mixing circuit. The signal mixed by the mixing circuit is supplied to a LPF through a D/A converter. In the LPF, the signal is demodulated by the band limiting filter according to (4:4:4).Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1998Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Shinichiro Miyazaki, Hiroyuki Kojima, Akira Shirahama, Hiroshi Sugaya
