  • Publication number: 20060258901
Abstract: A capsule-type medical apparatus includes a capsule-shape sealed container accommodating an electric component for executing a predetermined function; and a switch unit arranged in a substantially center of the sealed container, and controlling supply of electric power for driving the electric component according to action of a magnetic field from outside of the sealed container.

    Inventors: Noriyuki Fujimori, Hiroshi Suzushima
  • Publication number: 20050043586
Abstract: A capsule endoscope includes a capsule portion. The capsule portion includes at least an observation optical unit having an image pick-up element and an optical lens that forms an objective optical system, an illuminating unit having an illuminating substrate, a surface emission light source, and a light-emitting control circuit, a peripheral-circuit part which forms various circuits having a signal processing circuit, a receiving and transmitting circuit, and a control circuit, and a power source unit which supplies power to the observation optical unit, the illuminating unit, and the peripheral-circuit part.

  • Publication number: 20040236181
Abstract: An in-body information acquiring apparatus includes a function executing unit that realizes a predetermined function inside a body of a patient. A power-supply circuit includes a power unit that includes a cell and that outputs a first current and a first voltage; and a converter that converts the first current to a second current, which is a current required to operate the function executing unit for a predetermined time, and converts the first voltage to a second voltage, which is a voltage required to operate the function executing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040225190
Abstract: A capsule endoscope has a front cover having a window for illuminating light and a window for capturing images. The window for illuminating light is flat. The window for capturing images is flat or convex. Because the window for illuminating light is flat, the light passes through the window without being reflected toward an image capturing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040225189
Abstract: In a capsule endoscope illuminating units are disposed around an image capturing unit in such a manner that an optical axis of the illuminating units do not intersect with an optical axis of the observation unit, and illumination areas of the illuminating units overlap at substantially a central portion of an image capturing area of the image capturing unit.

  • Publication number: 20040181127
Abstract: A capsule endoscope system includes: a capsule endoscope, of which movement is controlled by a magnetic field externally applied; at least one magnetic-field generation unit for generating a magnetic field focused on one point to control the movement of the capsule endoscope travelling in a body cavity of a subject lying down on an examination table; and a table drive unit for moving the examination table relative to the magnetic-field generation unit.

  • Patent number: 5176140
Abstract: In an ultrasonic probe for use in ultrasonic endoscope, ultrasonic diagnosing apparatus and other ultrasonic apparatuses, an ultrasonic vibrator is arranged in a recess formed in a cylindrical housing and is secured thereto such that portions of first and second electrodes are exposed out of the recess. First and second lead wires are embedded in the housing such that tips of the lead wires are exposed within connecting areas formed in the housing in communication with the recess. The tips of the first and second lead wires are connected to first and second electrodes of the ultrasonic vibrator with the aid of conductive members made of solder, conductive paste or conductive adhesive agent. The other end of the first and second lead wires are extended from the same end face of the cylindrical housing.
