  • Patent number: 8945867
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a desired polypeptide using rat cells. Specifically, the present invention relates to a process for producing the polypeptide which comprises culturing rat cells such as YB2/3HL.P2.G11.16Ag.20 (hereinafter referred to as YB2/0), preferably rat cells to which a recombinant DNA comprising DNA encoding a desired polypeptide such as an immunologically functional molecule is introduced, in a medium which does not contain serum (hereinafter referred to as a serum-free medium). Among the desired polypeptides obtained by the process of the present invention, an antibody obtained by using a transformant of YB2/0 has a high antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxic activity (hereinafter sometimes referred to as ADCC activity) and is useful as a pharmaceutical agent.

  • Publication number: 20070170475
Abstract: In a mounting structure of an image pickup device, an optical member allowing light to pass through is bonded to one side of an electric substrate with an adhesive with the image pickup device bonded to the other side of the electric substrate. In this structure, the hardness of an adhesive for bonding the image pickup device differs from the hardness of the adhesive for the optical member. The difference in hardness between the adhesives can reduce the influence of a difference in expansion coefficient between the image pickup device and the optical member. For example, the hardness of the adhesive for bonding the optical member can be set lower than that of the adhesive for bonding the image pickup device.

  • Patent number: 4989269
Abstract: In shirt collars having neckbands, an improved shirt collar comprises more than one soft layer disposed on the inside of the neckband, each soft layer being arcuately smaller than the neckband and a space exists between a pair of soft layers. Thereby, the soft layer reduces pressure on the neck of the wearer and gives the neckband durability. A tendency for the soft layer to bunch up and wrinkle is substantially reduced by the presence of the space between layers.
