  • Publication number: 20240163496
Abstract: A size of a buffer memory to be prepared on a receiving side for synchronized playback is reduced. A network can determine a plurality of paths for sending, from a transmission terminal to a reception terminal, a corresponding plurality of pieces of content to be played back in synchronization. A latency time difference between the plurality of paths is adjusted by an adjustment unit to fall within a predetermined length of time. For example, the adjustment is made by changing the path having the lower latency. This makes it possible to reduce the size of the buffer memory to be prepared on the receiving side. For example, the adjustment unit sends information on an adjusted latency time to a plurality of reception terminals connected to the plurality of paths. On the basis of this information, the plurality of reception terminals can set a buffering size used during synchronized playback of the content to an appropriate size.

  • Patent number: 11977344
Abstract: An image forming apparatus to which a toner container is detachably mountable includes a mounting portion to which the toner container is detachably mountable and which includes a receiving port for receiving toner supplied from the toner container, a passage for permitting passing of the toner received through the receiving port and provided with a through hole, and a filter portion provided so as to cover the through hole and for permitting passing of air; and an accommodating portion configured to accommodate the toner received through the receiving port. At least a part of the through hole overlaps with the receiving port as viewed in a horizontal direction perpendicular to a direction of gravitation.

  • Patent number: 11949959
Abstract: It is made possible to perform data transmission through a cable satisfactorily. A cable is connected between first electronic equipment and second electronic equipment. The cable includes a current consumption unit that receives supply of current from the first electronic equipment through a power supply line, a current monitor unit that observes a current amount the first electronic equipment is capable of supplying to the power supply line, and an information transmission unit that transmits control information according to the observed current amount to the first electronic equipment. The first electronic equipment controls the state of data to be supplied to the cable, on the basis of the control information transmitted thereto from the cable.

  • Publication number: 20240069273
Abstract: To mitigate the accuracy of misalignment to reduce costs, and to suppress an inter-mode propagation delay difference to enable high-quality transmission of signals. An optical waveguide is configured to propagate only a fundamental mode at a first wavelength and propagate at least a first-order mode as well as the fundamental mode at a second wavelength. The optical waveguide is configured such that a refractive index distribution of a core and a cladding is controlled so that the inter-mode propagation delay difference is within a predetermined threshold, for example, the inter-mode propagation delay difference is zero, when communication is performed using light of the second wavelength. For example, the first wavelength is in a 1310-nm band and the second wavelength is in an 850-nm band.
