Abstract: In an apparatus for applying a label to packages filled with eggs or the like in a state without a cover in the packaging operation and moving one by one on a conveyor beneath the apparatus, a sucking disk for taking out the labels one by one from a label feeder is provided between the upper label feeder and a lower label-posture adjusting chamber in a way freely movable in the vertical direction. An air pipe, connected to the sucking disk, is opened and closed in accordance with the up-and-down motions of the sucking disk, which is controlled by a signal from a sensor for detecting the presence of a label inside the label-posture adjusting chamber. The bottom of the label-posture adjusting chamber is opened by detecting the approach of a package.

Abstract: A shifting device installed between a discharge conveyor for objects, such as eggs, to be processed and a receiving conveyor for the same and below the discharge conveyor, and provided with delivery devices for the objects to be processed, the delivery devices extending laterally and supported vertically in two rows and including receiving seats for the objects to be processed, which seats are disposed in parallel to each other and have the bottoms freely opening or closing so that the objects to be handled, after once received by the upper delivery device, are shifted to the lower delivery device and the lower delivery device lowers in proximity to the lower receiving conveyor, thereby shifting the objects thereto in safety without injuring the objects to be handled.

Abstract: A device for arranging hen's eggs in erect postures keeping their acute-curved ends below, which comprises; a plurality of passages which slope downward and through which the eggs are moved downwardly slantwise while being kept in longitudinal postures respectively; an endless driven member having a number of crossbars disposed in series at regular intervals, the crossbars keeping the eggs one by one and moving them downwardly within the passages respectively; a plurality of holders to prevent rotation of each egg; and a plurality of U-like shape groved members so that the eggs are turned to be directed vertically.
