  • Patent number: 4311365
Abstract: The present invention relates to a meter suitable for use in vehicles. The meter has a polarizing window which allows light having a vertical component only to pass therethrough and is preferably oriented so that optimum angle of incidence i of the polarized light on, the windshield for example, for attenuation of the reflection thereof, occurs. The outer surface of the window is preferably provided with a non-reflecting or anti-glare finish so that light from a source external of the meter is not reflected off the window. The arrangement ensures that visibility obscuring reflections on the windshield and the like caused by the meter mounted in prominent position on the instrument panel is not caused by light sources within or external of the meter.

  • Patent number: 4283036
Abstract: A rotary wheel with a peripheral recess rotates with the adjusting movement of a motor-driven, adjustably movable seat. A manual lever is operable to freely rotate the wheel relative to the seat to an angular rest position, where a contact element of a memory switch engages in the recess of the wheel. When the seat moves back to the initial position after an adjusting movement, the contact element snaps into the recess to open the switch stopping the motor so that the seat automatically resumes the initial position.

  • Patent number: 4270860
Abstract: In the electrophotographic apparatus for printing one or more copies of a document, a photoconductive drum rotates at a constant velocity while being charged; a document feeding device advances a document through a light exposure portion at a constant speed and, an optical device projects an image of the exposed document onto the drum to form an electrostatic charge latent image thereon. A latent image is developed to form a toner image after which the toner image is transferred onto a record paper and the toner image is fixed on the record paper to form a final copy. Clock pulses in synchronism with the rotation of the photosensitive drum are produced, whereby master and slave timing pulse generators receive the clock pulses to produce timing pulses. Then a control device receives the timing pulses and produces control signals necessary to control the operation of the apparatus.
