  • Publication number: 20080137628
Abstract: In order to simplify the operation during a call, a communication terminal includes: a radio circuit and a wireless LAN circuit; a flash ROM storing user identification information for identifying a target to communicate and telephone book data in which the user identification information and multiple pieces of access information respectively corresponding to the radio circuit and the wireless LAN circuit are associated with each other; and a control portion to search the telephone book data, if the wireless LAN circuit becomes incommunicable with the other party's mobile phone during communication, to extract a mobile phone number which is related with the user identification information of the user of the other party's mobile phone and corresponds to the radio circuit, and to originate a call to the other party's mobile phone by the radio circuit using the extracted mobile phone number.

  • Publication number: 20080119223
Abstract: When transmitting image data photographed using a camera mounted on a mobile phone to a PC connected with the camera, if an incoming-call is received and a call starts, the photographing cannot be continued. A user of the PC cannot find such state. Storage unit 101 stores first image data indicating reception of an incoming-call and second image data indicating that a call is in progress. An image photographed by camera unit 102 is compression-coded by JPEG compression unit 103, and is stored in image data storage unit 104 in units of frames. Control unit 112 reads the image data to meet a predetermined transmission rate, and transmits the image data to host PC 120 via I/F 113. Upon receiving notification of an incoming-call from base band signal processing unit 108, control unit 112 causes camera unit 102 stop photographing, reads the first image data from storage unit 101, and transmits the first image data to host PC 120.

  • Publication number: 20080119243
Abstract: In order to reduce power consumption while an incoming call is detected by each of a plurality of communication methods, a mobile phone includes a radio circuit, a wireless LAN circuit, and a control portion to control power supply to them. The control portion cuts off power supply to the radio circuit when communication for a call by the wireless LAN circuit is established when power is supplied to both the radio circuit and the wireless LAN circuit.

  • Patent number: 7268808
Abstract: A digital camera includes an image sensor. Image data of an object photographed by the image sensor is subjected to a color adjustment on the basis of color adjustment values set to a signal processing circuit. If a shutter button is operated, an image file including the image data and the color adjustment values set to the signal processing circuit is recorded into a memory card. When the memory card is attached to a PC, and a color reproduction characteristic of the image data included in the image file is adjusted by the PC, the color adjustment values are, in company therewith, also changed. When the memory card is returned to the digital camera, a change in the color adjustment values is detected by a CPU, and the color adjustment values set to the signal processing circuit is overwritten by the color adjustment values included in the image file.

  • Patent number: 7248775
Abstract: An image recording apparatus includes a CCD light-receiving element. An image signal of an object captured by the light-receiving element is stored on an image memory via a signal processing circuit, and subsequently compressed by an image compression/expansion circuit. An image file including a compressed image signal is recorded on a hard disk via a temporary storing memory. Data area of the hard disk is divided into a plurality of clusters, and the image file is recorded into each cluster. Link information indicating a link state of each cluster is recorded in a management area of the hard disk. Herein, a size of the image file is equal to or smaller than 1/N of that of the cluster.

  • Patent number: 7051353
Abstract: A program-guide-display controlling apparatus for displaying a plurality of program guides on a display unit in a matrix form by using one of the ordinate and the abscissa as a channel number axis and another one as a time axis comprises means for displaying to discriminate a time period in which a purchased program is present and a time period in which the purchased program is not present, so as to ensure that a situation in which two or more PPV programs which are broadcast during the same time period happen to be purchased is made difficult to occur.

  • Patent number: 6788341
Abstract: A data recording apparatus includes a slot for receiving a memory card having a disk, a flash memory and a controller. Each time one frame of compressed image data is recorded to the disk, a vacant capacity value of the disk is written to the flash memory. This vacant capacity value is read out according to an instruction given from a CPU. When the vacant capacity of the disk is lower than the vacant capacity of a compressed image area formed in an SDRAM, the CPU invalidates the vacant capacity of the compressed image area in a portion exceeding the vacant capacity of the disk. This restricts the number of frames to be picture-taken.

  • Patent number: 6460329
Abstract: In an exhaust gas purifying apparatus 1 provided with a nitrogen oxides absorption-reduction catalyst 2 for executing rich spike when the integrated value NOx mass of the NOx computed from the operating state of the engine E exceeds the predetermined first reference value NOxSL, a NOx sensor 13 is provided downstream from the nitrogen oxides absorption-reduction catalyst 2 so that the predetermined first reference value NOXSL is corrected when the value RSNOX detected by the NOx sensor 13 immediately after the rich spike is executed exceeds the predetermined second reference value RSSL. In this arrangement, since the variations in the NOx absorbing amount caused by the deterioration of the catalyst is monitored using the value detected by the NOx sensor for introducing a rich spike at appropriate moments, the purifying performance with respect to NOx in exhaust gas can be improved outstanding as a hole.

  • Patent number: 6259883
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a developing unit having a photoreceptor, for making an electrostatic latent image on a surface of the photoreceptor visible as a toner image. A toner hopper stores toner to be supplied to the developing unit and a cleaning device removes and recovers the toner remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor after the toner image has been transferred onto a recording material. A toner transporting passage is connected between the cleaning device and the toner hopper, through which the toner recovered by the cleaning device is returned to the toner hopper. A toner exhausting port is disposed at a part of the toner transporting passage, from which the toner being returned from the cleaning device side is exhausted outside the toner transporting passage. An opening and closing member selectively opens or closes the toner exhausting port, wherein an inner diameter of the toner exhausting port is made larger than that of the toner transporting passage.
