  • Patent number: 5701394
Abstract: Disclosed is an information processing system having a neural processing unit, an expert system for executing an inference using a rule, and an information selection unit. The neural processing unit and the expert system being arranged in parallel to each other. The information selection unit selects and outputs necessary information from the information outputted from the neural processing unit and the expert system. Since necessary information is selected and outputted from the information obtained from the neural processing unit and the expert system as a result of processing executed by the neural processing unit and the expert system in the parallelly different points of view, the certainty of the information to be selected is improved.

  • Patent number: 5306154
Abstract: An intelligent education and simulation system which is capable of executing an optimized follow-up reeducation to the learner reflecting his/her idiosyncrasy toward understanding in learning. The intelligent education and simulation system has an execution instruction to execute a curriculum comprising a plurality of instruction courses regarding the subject teaching of an educational object and its simulation-based instruction. According to this execution instruction, intelligent computer assisted instruction of the subject teaching and the simulation-based instruction are implemented. The degree of understanding of these instructions by the learner is evaluated, and according to the degree of understanding thus comprehended, a pertinent follow-up instruction course(s) is chosen for reeducation. In this way, a pertinent reeducation instruction course(s) optimized for each learner is capable of being selected, and the time required for reeducation of the learner is minimized.

  • Patent number: 5247433
Abstract: A man-machine system connected to a plant has a storage device for storing data of an ideal operator model and recognizing section for inputting voice information generated by the operator and information about the operator's line of sight. When information about a failure in the plant is input into the man-machine system, plant data or operation information provided at the corresponding locations on an operational panel recognized by the recognizing section according to voice information or information about the operator's line of sight is selected and shown to the operator, so that the operator can take remedial measures for the failure quickly.
