  • Patent number: 5172610
Abstract: A stepless-speed-changer engine brake controller for a vehicle having detection means for detecting as an offset an angle displacement from the maximum opening to an actual opening in an accelerator opening variation region where the throttle opening in made zero, detection means for detecting a vehicle speed, and control means for inputting the offset and the vehicle speed from the respective detection means and for controlling the speed ratio of said stepless-speed-changer in such a manner that an engine brake torque varies according to an increase or a decrease of the offset and the vehicle speed.

  • Patent number: 5058022
Abstract: A device for detecting whether an engine brake condition exists includes a memory for storing the rotating speed of the engine corresponding to the degree of opening of the throttle valve, a detector for detecting the degree of opening of the throttle valve, a detector of the actual rotating speed of the engine, and a device for determining that the engine is an engine brake state when the actual speed of the engine corresponding to the actual degree of opening of the throttle valve exceeds the speed of the engine stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 4307276
Abstract: A method of heating a long metal product to a desired temperature by an induction heating coil while continuously moving the long metal product longitudinally. The long metal product thus heated attains a uniform temperature throughout its entire length. For this purpose, the space enclosed by the induction heating coil is hypothetically divided into a plurality of sections in the direction in which the long metal product travels. The temperature of the long metal product in each hypothetically divided section is estimated by calculation from the temperature of the long metal product at the inlet of the induction heating coil. Based on the estimated temperatures, the power supplied to the induction heating coil is controlled so that the temperature of the long metal product agrees with the desired temperature at the outlet of the induction heating coil.
