Abstract: A coated plastic molding having a final coating on a molding body formed of plastic material and having elastic modulus in tension of from about 10 to about 2,000 MPa. The coated plastic molding has such a relationship that a ratio E′/E is 0.5 or more when the elastic modulus in tension of the molding body is E and the elastic modulus in tension of the final coating is E′.

A glittering paint for obtaining a glittering coated film comprising a coated film forming polymer, a glittering pigment comprising inorganic powder and a solvent, wherein the coated film forming polymer comprising a pigment carrying polymer, wherein the pigment carrying polymer has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of at least 50,000 and a refractive index (by Abbe's refractometer) (nD) of at least 1.48, the coated film forming polymer has an entire weight average molecular weight (Mw) of at least 50,000, the inorganic powder has an aspect ratio of at least 50, and the glittering pigment content (PWC) in the coated film is 15 wt % or less.

Abstract: A decorative sheet is obtained by a process which comprises superimposing a reinforcing plate, a second hot melt adhesive sheet, a porous decorating sheet, a third transparent hot melt adhesive sheet, and a transparent film in sequence on a first hot melt adhesive sheet, and then subjecting the laminate to heat pressing. The decorative sheet is then inserted into the mold. A base resin is then injected onto the back side of the first adhesive sheet of the decorative sheet.

Abstract: A molded article containing an outer decorative film and a support, and a method and composition for making the same are disclosed. The outer film has a decorative layer and a protective layer, the protective layer being formed from a photopolymerizable resin composition. In an uncured state, the composition includes (a) an acrylic copolymer containing a backbone and at least one side chain linked to the backbone, the at least one side group having at least one (meth)acryloyl group, the backbone having a glass transition temperature of about 40.degree. C. to about 120.degree. C. and a weight-average molecular weight of about 10,000 to about 200,000; (b) a compound other than the copolymer (a), the compound having at least three (meth)acryloyl groups; and a photopolymerization initiator. Abstract: A coated molded article including a body of an olefin resin and finish coat of an acrylic urethane resin paint, the paint includes a modified acrylic polyol resin produced by copolymerizing an acrylic resin with a polar group-introduced polyolefin and an acrylic polyol resin. Particularly, coated molded articles of an olefin resin can be used as exterior components for automobiles (e.g. side molding, bumper, wheel cap, etc,), as well as exterior components for buildings. These exterior components are required to have physical properties as article such as weather resistance, abrasion resistance and the like, while maintaining an attractive appearance.
