  • Patent number: 9121449
Abstract: A slide bearing has an oil supply passage formed in a lower bearing portion, that supplies lubricating oil into clearance between an outer peripheral surface of a rotating shaft and lower and upper slide surfaces, and an oil discharge passage formed in the lower half bearing portion and discharges the lubricating oil from the clearance. The oil supply passage has a downstream portion and the oil discharge passage has an upstream portion which is provided at positions on opposite sides of the rotating shaft. The oil supply passage has an upstream portion extending toward the upstream portion of the oil discharge passage, and the oil discharge passage has a downstream portion extending toward the downstream portion of the oil supply passage.

  • Patent number: 7977603
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an eyeless needle by which a satisfactory hole can be formed in the end surface of a fine suture needle having a needle diameter less than 150 micrometers is proposed. In a method for manufacturing an eyeless needle by forming a hole for inserting and fixing one end of a suture thread by caulking in the end surface of the eyeless suture needle made of stainless steel, the hole is formed by irradiating the end surface of a needle material thicker by 6 to 20 micrometers than a desired needle diameter of the suture needle less than 150 micrometers with one shot of a laser beam, and subsequently, a portion thicker than the desired needle diameter is removed by electrolytic polishing or chemical polishing.

  • Patent number: 5749897
Abstract: A surgical needle has a top edge formed by two pressed faces located inside or outside of curvature from pressing a material blank made of austenitic stainless steel having fibrous texture and cutting edges formed on both sides of a base. The top edge is sharp at a needle point and the sharp needle point is constituted of fibrous texture formed at the surface layer of the material blank. Grinding marks extending crosswise formed on the face of the mold are transferred to the pressed faces. A mold constitutes plural faces forming projecting angles (angle between two intersecting faces is 180.degree. or below, and the line at which the two faces intersect is made as a projecting line) along edges of the blocks made of two rectangular prisms, and constitutes a cavity by suitably contacting the edges of the blocks.

  • Patent number: 5476480
Abstract: A surgical needle for sutural treatment having a triangle or polygon body in cross section, including a blunt needle point with a plate or round end and at least two cutting edges to prevent a health care provider from mistakenly hurting themselves even if the needle comes into contact with the tissue of the health care provide, and to provide a property that enables the needle to pass smoothly through tissues. A first face of the body may be ground by a grinding apparatus specially made for the surgical needle to form a tapered slope and the cutting edges. By pressing a material piece of the needle in a V-shaped groove it forms a second and third face and readily produces a high quality surgical needle.
