  • Patent number: 5632024
Abstract: An executable program is stored in compressed form in a ROM, from which compressed program data is fetched to be expanded by an expandor to a pre-compression form. The expanded data is then decoded by an instruction decoder for execution. This novel setup reduces a memory usage amount in main storage including the ROM. If a branch instruction appears, a controller converts a pre-compression branch destination address to a corresponding post-compression branch destination address and sets a value thereof to a program counter.

  • Patent number: 5515519
Abstract: A compiler incorporates obtained information for controlling the data-processor hardware, such as the position of the branch destination of a branch instruction and the used states of registers into object codes (NOP instruction) including a no-operation instruction code to post it to the data processor. The data processor is so constituted as to effectively use the data-processor resource not practically used by the no-operation instruction code and reflect the hardware control information included in the object code on data processing.

  • Patent number: 5202675
Abstract: An n-dimensional scanning type display apparatus, for use in a subway, tunnel, or places in which a conventional image display system may not be employed due to space limitations and/or the high moving speed of the observer, uses a display zone, a sensor zone, and a data forming zone to coordinate the display with the moving observer. The display zone is for displaying a succession of images which are responsive to moving speed information and/or moving direction information of the observer. The sensor zone is for detecting the passage of the moving observer past a reference position and is for outputting movement information, such as speed and direction to the data forming zone, which data forming zone is for forming a display changeover control signal based on the movement information.

  • Patent number: 5002410
Abstract: In a manually sweeping type printing apparatus having a lighter weight than a force in printing, the printing operation is effected without applying any external depression load. The printing apparatus includes a thermal head a piezoelectric actuator which performs movements of expansion and contraction in synchronism with an alternating voltage, and means for coupling the thermal head to the piezoelectric actuator with maintaining vibrations. The piezoelectric acutator is manufactured by stacking a plurality of piezoelectric ceramic sheets, and stretched in an axial direction thereof upon receiving the alternating voltage. This deformation causes another vibration of the thermal head in the axial direction, whereby the force against the recording paper is obtained by the vibration of the thermal head. An average value "F" of the force "F" exerted by the thermal head against the recording paper is set not to be more than the weight of the printing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4969054
Abstract: A hand-held manually sweeping copier is manually swept over a medium so as to obtain image data corresponding to image information on the medium via an image sensor of a CCD type or the like. The image data obtained via the image sensor is arranged in order, in accordance with the sweeping direction of the copier, and stored in a memory, the addressing of which is controlled in accordance with the sweeping direction of the copier. In addition, the copier prints the image data on a printing medium, i.e., a plain paper, while the copier is being manually swept across the printing medium.

  • Patent number: 4947262
Abstract: A hand-held manually sweeping printing apparatus includes a manually manipulatable housing. A data input section, a memory, a printer head, a roll of ink ribbon, and an encoder are mounted within the housing. When a user holds the microcopier and sweeps it across a piece of paper, the printer head can print image data on the paper. Since the printer head is movable in response to various conditions caused by the pressure applied to the piece of paper, or surface conditions of the paper, a high-quality printing is realized. The data input section may be replaced by an image sensor, in which case the information on an original can be read and reproduced on the piece of paper.

  • Patent number: 4928183
Abstract: A manually operable scanning structure employs a mechanism for straightening movement on a record or an image recorded medium. The mechanism comprises a pair of rollers, support members for rotatably supporting the rollers and swaying members for coupling the support members with a housing member. Each of swaying members is formed in a bifurcated shape and has a flexible neck portion which is capable of swaying the roller. The flexible neck portion is positioned to the rear of the roller in a moving direction of the housing. Therefore, the swaying member sways the roller in an opposite direction by a reaction according to an external thrust force urged to the housing member.

  • Patent number: 4627511
Abstract: In an optical tracking robot system, a target has a light emitting section with a high light emitting directivity, for emitting a light beam modulated into pulses. A tracking robot has a tracking sensor section for monitoring a light beam by a pair of light receiving elements, for processing signals from the received light beam, and for generating and supplying drive control signals to a travel control section. In response to drive control signals the travel control section generates and supplies drive signals to a driver section. The driver section drives the tracking robot so that the robot advances while turning to the right when the output level of the right side light receiving element is higher than that of the left side light receiving element, and to the left when the latter is higher than the former. The robot also has an approach sensor section which detects the light beam by means of a light receiving element, and generates and supplies stop control signals to the travel control section.
