  • Publication number: 20240104166
Abstract: A maximum value of an input value obtained by a comparison circuit 403 is subtracted from each input value by a subtraction circuit 404, an approximate value of an exponential function value corresponding to divided values a1, a2, and a3 obtained by slicing the obtained difference value a for each bit range is read from look up tables table1, table2, and table3 by a look up table reference circuit 406, and is multiplied by a multiplication circuit 408 to calculate an approximate value of the exponential function value having the difference value a as an exponent. At the time of multiplication, a fraction is rounded off, and the number of bits is equalized by a right shift operation. Using a total value of the approximate values obtained by a summing circuit 409, each approximate value is divided by the divider circuit 410 to obtain an approximate value of the softmax function value.

  • Patent number: 8726094
Abstract: A communication monitoring apparatus that is capable of preventing determination of communication error due to communication shutdown accompanying the communication speed change so as not to inspire a user with unnecessary uneasiness. The communication monitoring apparatus monitors a connecting condition of communication between a terminal that can change a communication speed and a host apparatus through a network. A check unit periodically checks whether the connecting condition of communication between the terminal and the host apparatus through the network is normal or abnormal at first set time, and determines that a communication error occurs when the checked result shows abnormal connecting condition. A control unit detects a communication speed change in the terminal, and stops the check by the check unit before the communication speed change concerned.

  • Patent number: 8384937
Abstract: An image forming system capable of determining whether a detected communication speed reaches a communication speed needed for printing the received printing data successfully according to printing ability of an image forming apparatus. A detection unit detects a communication speed of wireless communication executed between the image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus. An obtainment unit obtains a communication speed needed so that the image forming apparatus successfully prints the print data that is received by using wireless communication according to a printing ability of the image forming apparatus. A determination unit determines whether the communication speed detected by the detection unit reaches the communication speed obtained by the obtainment unit or not.

  • Publication number: 20100320304
Abstract: A reel for winding an elongated body includes a rotor 30 that pivots relative to a casing, a free roller 22 located on the outer peripheral side of the rotor 30, and an inner reel section 30 formed on the inner side thereof. An elongated body is wound in one direction on the outer periphery of the inner reel section 23, and the elongated body extending from the inner reel section is reversed by a reversing roller 21, wound in the other direction on the outer periphery of the free roller 22, and pulled out to the outer periphery of the rotor. The inner reel section 23 is adapted to be pivotable relative to the rotor 30. The pivot shaft of the inner reel section 23 is placed at a position different from the position of the center axis 11 for pivoting of the rotor 30. The reel has a pivoting device for pivoting the inner reel section 23 such that the rotor 30 and the inner reel section 23 pivot in the directions opposite to each other with substantially the same angular speed.

  • Patent number: 5045869
Abstract: Printing is performed with the higher one of the two resolutions designated for text data and image data if these resolutions are different from each other. If in this case the resolution designated for the text data is changed, character patterns based the an optimum number of constituent dots are selected for printing of characters of the designated size in accordance with the text data. If the resolution of the image data is changed, the image data is interpolated.
