  • Patent number: 7590995
Abstract: In the case when EPG data of multiple channels is displayed on a display, if the data is attempted to be downsized uniformly and displayed, information of each displayed program is displayed smaller. Hence, such information becomes very difficult for humans to see. The present invention provides an EPG display apparatus comprising second storage means of storing three-dimensional EPG data obtained by mapping all or part of two-dimensional EPG data on the side face of a cylinder in a three-dimensional space, and control means of displaying all or part of the three-dimensional EPG data stored in the second storage means on a display having a two-dimensional screen.

  • Publication number: 20070273649
Abstract: There is provided a user interface with which a greater number of processes are executable in response to user operations made to a directional input device. When the directional input device receives a first direction followed by a second direction within a predetermined time period, the amount of change from the first direction to the second direction is calculated. If the calculated change amount exceeds a predetermined range, a first processes associated with each of the first and second directions is performed. If the calculated change amount falls within the predetermined range, a second process associated with the change amount is performed.

  • Patent number: 7181128
Abstract: A program recording apparatus has a program information input device, a program recording setting device, a recording device for writing to, or erasing from a recording medium, and a management device. When the program recording setting device sets the recording of a program, the management device predicts whether there is a shortage of vacant space in the recording medium. This is done when the recording device writes the contents of the program to the recording medium by referring to program management information. To provide vacant space in the recording medium, the management device decides programs to be erased according to predetermined criteria which include an erasure possibility set prior to erasure of the programs to be erased.

  • Patent number: 6117510
Abstract: An adhesive-applied tape prepared by coating a support film with a solution obtained by dissolving in an organic solvent a mixture of an epoxy resin and an amorphous polyimidosiloxane produced from an aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride or its derivative and a diamine comprising an aromatic diamine which comprises an aromatic diamine having a functional group which can react with an epoxy group and a diaminopolysiloxane, and then drying it at a temperature at which the epoxy resin is not cured to provide a tack-free adhesive layer with no surface tackiness. The tape is both flexible and heat resistant, and does not require high-temperature, high-pressure contact bonding conditions upon contact bonding.
