  • Publication number: 20080104236
Abstract: Blade enclosures are connected to storage devices through FC switches, and management blades and FC switches are connected to a SAN management device. Automatic setting modular program displays an input screen on a display. A manager inputs IP addresses of FC switches so as to be associated with IP address of management blade into input screen. The automatic-setting modular program acquires the server blade information from the management blades, turns on the powers of the server blades, and acquires the FC switch information from the FC switches. The program associates the slot numbers contained in the server blade information acquired from the management blades to the port numbers contained in the FC switch information acquired from the FC switches in one-to-one relationships. The program generates records that are combinations of the server blade information and the FC switch information, and stores the generated records in connection definition table.

  • Publication number: 20070294477
Abstract: In a RAID management apparatus, a disk determination unit accesses each of RAID devices, determines a copy source disk, and sets a pointer of the determined copy source disk into a disk management table stored in a storage unit. When an input-output (I/O) processing unit accesses a disk, if an I/O error occurs on the disk, as a result a copy source disk and a copy destination disk are switched; the I/O processing unit renews a pointer associated with the copy source disk in the disk management table stored in the storage unit, and a disk notification unit notifies that the copy source disk and the copy destination disk are switched.

  • Publication number: 20070288512
Abstract: In order to enable hierarchized resource-managing functions to mutually request processing and maintain the uniqueness of processing performed by each of the resource-managing functions, a process is performed as follows. When a first action request is inputted, an action-handler search unit analyzes the request condition indicated in the first action request, and searches an action-handler table for an action handler corresponding to the request condition. An action execution unit starts the action handler detected by the action-handler search unit and performs processing defined in the started action handler. In the case where all or part of the processing requested by the first action request is not performed by the action execution unit, the action execution unit produces and transmits a second action request indicating a request condition of all or the part of the processing in a common data form.

  • Publication number: 20070260816
Abstract: In a first management unit for a redundant array of independent disks (RAID management-unit), a shared-class setting unit receives a shared-class setting command, for example, from a host computer. If the shared-class setting command includes information about the first RAID management unit and a second RAID management unit, a shared management-information creating unit creates shared management information, writes the created shared management information onto a first disk, notifies the second RAID management unit corresponding to a second disk about the shared management information, and gives an instruction to write the shared management information onto the second disk. The second RAID management unit then writes the notified shared management information onto the second disk.

  • Publication number: 20060257361
Abstract: The present invention relates to Fc-IL-15 hybrids, which may or may not include peptide linkers between the IL-15 and the Fc portion, for methods of treatment of tumors and viral infections. The IL-15 hybrids can be Fc-IL-15 or IL-15-Fc hybrids. The Fc-IL-15 hybrids include variants, including the IL-15 and Fc variants. The hybrids preferably (but not necessarily) include peptide linkers between the IL-15 and the Fc portion. These linkers are preferably composed of a T cell inert sequence, or any non-immunogenic sequence.

  • Publication number: 20060048159
Abstract: There are resource managers provided for various kinds of resources including hardware and software, and a system resource manager that manages the entire system including the resource managers. Configuration management of the system resource manager grasps the system configuration by XML-based definition information and detects a control method of each of the resources. Accepting an operation instruction to a resource, the system resource manager specifies a target resource to be controlled under configuration management and sends an event to a resource manager that manages the target resource by event control. The resource manager that receives the event specifies the target resource to be controlled under configuration management and sends a control instruction to the target resource by event control to operate the target resource.

  • Patent number: 6673186
Abstract: A laminated structural body is manufactured by laminating unidirectionally arranged strands and a web such that two layers of the web sandwich the strands therebetween. A cylindrical web is delivered in a direction parallel to a central axis thereof. A polymer liquid is discharged from a spinning head, which is disposed in the cylindrical web and rotated about the central axis of the cylindrical web, toward an inner surface of the cylindrical web to spin strands of the discharged polymer liquid. The spun strands are arranged in a direction substantially parallel to the circumferential direction of the cylindrical web and laminated on the inner surface of the cylindrical web. The cylindrical web with the strands laminated thereon is folded flatwise to sandwich the strands between the two folded layers of the web.

  • Patent number: 6054086
Abstract: An ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin having a viscosity average molecular weight of at least 500,000 is subjected to melt forming into a film, the thus obtained molten film or solid state film is transversely stretched while holding both the side edges of the film, the stretched film is longitudinally slitted into tapes, and then the thus obtained tapes are longitudinally stretched thereby to produce high-strength yarns easily. A number of slits are longitudinally or transversely made in films made of an ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin having a viscosity average molecular weight of at least 500,000 so that the films each take a meshy form when spread in the direction perpendicular to the slits, and the meshy form structures are stretched in the direction of the slits to prepare meshy webs having a high strength unidirectionally. At least one member selected from the thus prepared meshy webs is used as one nonwoven web, thereby producing a high-strength, web-crossed laminated nonwoven easily.
