  • Patent number: 7856890
Abstract: In a manufacturing method of a pressure detector, a first member that includes a sensing portion for outputting an electric signal in accordance with a pressure, a second member that includes a pressure-receiving diaphragm, and a pressure transmission member are prepared. The pressure transmission member is disposed between the sensing portion and the pressure-receiving diaphragm and the first member and the second member are welded in a state where the pressure is applied from the pressure-receiving diaphragm to the sensing portion through the pressure transmission member. One of the first member and the second member are strained so that a preliminary load, which is applied from the pressure-receiving diaphragm to the sensing portion through the pressure transmission member in a state where no external pressure is applied to the pressure-receiving diaphragm, meets a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20090095059
Abstract: A pressure sensor for use in an engine by installation of the pressure sensor into an installation hole of an engine head is provided. The pressure sensor includes: a body having a first end; a pressure receiving diaphragm disposed in the first end; a sealing surface disposed on the side surface of the body; and an expansion member, which is disposed on the side surface of the body so that, with respect to the first end of the body, the expansion member is located closer than the sealing surface. When heat is generated by an engine operation after the installation of the first end of the body into the installation hole, the expansion member expands due to the heat to fill in a space between an inner surface of the installation hole and a side surface of the body.

  • Patent number: 7464604
Abstract: A pressure sensor is attached to an engine by inserting a cylindrical metal case having a hollow part into an attaching hole formed in the engine in which engine oil flows. An oil passage is formed in the cylindrical metal case, and oil passages are formed in the housing. The pressure sensor is connected to the engine through an oil transmitting pipe and an oil returning pipe in order to radiate thermal energy of a pressure sensing diaphragm and a pressure sensing chip by flowing the engine oil from the engine to the hollow part of the metal case and by returning the engine oil from the hollow part to the engine.
