  • Patent number: 7935337
Abstract: To treat diseases accompanied by degenerative intervertebral discs, in particular, disk herniation, lumbar pain, discopathy and osteoarthritits of the spine, it is intended to provide a drug for administering a human-origin protease directly to an affected part of such a disease accompanied by degenerative intervertebral discs. As the human-origin protease, use can be made of MMP-3, MMP-7, etc.

  • Patent number: 7927308
Abstract: A puncture device that reliably acts on the target body site is proposed. The puncture device includes a luminal puncture body 2 having a projection opening 2a on the side surface; a tube 3, accommodated in the puncture body 2, having an acting part 3a that acts on the inside of the body; and a leading means 4 for projecting the acting part 3a of the tube 3 towards the side from the projection opening 2a. The leading means 4 includes a wire 5 inserted in the tube 3, and a moving means 6 for moving the wire 5 in the length direction of the puncture body 2, the moving means 6 adjusting the moving amount of the wire 5 to project the wire 5 from the projection opening 2a. The acting part 3a of the tube 3 can be projected by the projection of the wire 5.

  • Publication number: 20090226503
Abstract: It is to provide a material to inhibit spine/spinal cord adhesion in the form of a sponge, a film or a suspension to be used for the purpose of assisting/accelerating the tissue healing. An adhesion inhibiting material for a spine/spinal cord surgery in the form of a sponge, a film or a suspension to be used for reducing the degree of adhesion or for inhibiting adhesion caused by a spine/spinal cord surgery, which contains a crosslinked acid polysaccharide.

  • Publication number: 20080003198
Abstract: There are provided herniated disc treatment agents developed as a result of molecular level analysis of the action mechanism of spontaneous resorption of herniated disc. Angiogenesis-inducing substances are administered to promote spontaneous resorption of hernia by inducing vascular tubule formation in herniated disc tissue.
